Would The Circle be store-worthy and worth trying I wonder? It IS Sammy and Mikey with Jason Bonham so not far from the magnitude of Chickenfoot, but then again it's a decade later. Don't want to wait an extra day for it in the mail and I love the feeling of buying it at a store but it's a risk! Shit...
Our local store in Australia will have it on day of release. They make sure all big label CDs are. Sammys on BMG, so I’m sure I will be spinning it that day.

    From the Forbes article.

I find this to be a poorly written paragraph, but at least Sam lets's us know his thinking behind the Montrose riff on TFB.

“Mikey’s vocals, you can hear them on all the songs. And it sounds like the Van Halen vocal sound because it’s Mike, you know?” observed Hagar of Anthony’s immediately identifiable sound. “But the only [song] that sounds like something else on [Space Between] is ‘Trust Fund Baby,’ which sounds like Montrose,” he said of his desire to bring his career full circle, incorporating his formative rock experiences alongside Ronnie Montrose on the new song. “I did that intentionally. I took a piece of one of Ronnie’s licks from ‘I Got the Fire’ on the second Montrose record and I put it on there. I wanted, this being The Circle, to bring in all the elements.”

    Good for you Sam.

I’m super excited for this album and unlike some I love both Trust Fund Baby and Cant Hang. I think the lyrics are the most modern that Hagar has come up with in a long time.

Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham are the baddest ass hard rock rhythm section currently in the game.

Vic is no Ed but he’s not trying to be which for some leads to criticism but never once have I listened to Vic play originals and thought he was inadequate.

Kudos to Sammy for getting this one on a major label with vinyl release.

It looks like the album isn’t too long either. Which imo is how an album should be. 35-45 mins.

It's interesting that when I saw him on his M2M tour that he only played 3 VH tunes (2 of which he butchered) when most of the crowd was there to hear VH material and now decades later (and many new albums later) he's playing twice as many VH tunes.

Thank God, since that's the only time we're gonna hear 'em anymore.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

When does this album come out again?
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Well at that time VH was a functional band with a lead singer who was also singing the Hagar era. Sammy was also trying to reestablish his solo career. Now VH ignores those albums ever happened. Sammy recently said that due to this he and Mike somewhat inherited the Van Hagar catalog.

I love it. I wish he’d play even more VH but his show is only 90 mins which at 71 is totally understandable.

    Album drops 5/10.

Every ticket purchased to the tour gets a CD copy.
