Only Eddie Van Halen could not get along with Sammy and Mike. They are known as the nicest guys in the business.

Hagar is well known as a down to earth friendly guy. I’ve met him and he was as genuine as you’d think. But hey your opinion is your opinion.

Friendly guy in public certainly. But he's had issues with bandmates in the past, ain't just Ed. He's an alpha dog. Mike is not. If you have an issue with Mike then that's on you.

Between Sammy and Ed, I’ll take Sammy as the easier going and friendly.

    Mike rules.

    That’s why he’s with Sammy.

I think that's a pretty near universal position.

Sam's a damn clever guy. He's not going for "Dreams"-type song, he's playing to his strength, singing more bluesy. It sounds really great.

You know, we've made fun of Ed's comments in 1996 or so about Sam being lazy, and how looking at their relative activity since then has made a mockery of that statement. Except I'm not sure that Ed was talking completely about work ethic from a volume perspective.

Sam is a LAZY song-writer. Really always has been. One of the reasons I like him so much better with Ed than any of his other work is that he gets pushed - HARD - to be better when he's with Ed than he'll push himself. Chickenfoot wasn't bad, since I think he pushed himself a little to keep up with Joe. But that song, and the one before it, is just okay. There's just no spark there. Sam doesn't do anything with the melody.

I mean, he's earned his twilight, and if he doesn't want to work hard at it, fine. Just making the observation.

He sounds awesome. Definitely raspier and in a lower range but he knows how to use his voice. Similar to what Steve Perry is doing.

Even the biggest Ed fans can appreciate he's not the easiest guy to work with.

Sam has been lazy a few times, but come on, in the 70s the guy was releasing 2 records per year! And this new song sounds damn fine. It's got a Zep-style back beat, it's different than both VH and CF. Good song for solo
    Sam.

But it says "Chapter 3" - has another song been released apart from "Trust Fund Baby."

Sammy is so lazy he’s had 46 years in the business.

My guess is it’s the 3rd track on the album.
