This is kind of where I was at with it. Uninspired. IMO, lazy song-writing. If I had to guess - he did not push himself one iota to make this song great.

There was supposedly lots of VH talk, any of it pertinent, or was it more of the same old shit?

I thought ton of VH talk meant more than that, but ok.

How would you compare these two songs to Chickenfoot, the stuff he did with VH, ADKOT?

It might, we'll just have to wait for the full summary I guess, I can't hear it and that's all I've found so far.

Same experience. Very nice and was cool taking a minute to chat.

Sambora didn't play on the Young Guns II soundtrack. He was recording/producing his own (1st) solo album - Stranger in This Town - at the time; a vastly superior album IMO.

Jeff Beck played the slide solo on Jon's Blaze of Glory.

Listened again on the walk to the train. I like the feel of the verses (though lyrically uninspired) but the chorus is so blah. I think both songs had a chance to be quite good. They just seem incomplete. Sam needs a cowriter. Maybe he should call Ed, he ain't doing anything. Think I'll listen to the Struts for the ride home.
