    Default NAD Boss Katana Air

I picked up a Boss Katana Air 30W amp over the weekend. It’s totally wireless and can be totally portable with batteries (when using batteries its a 20W). It’s got an iOS app that can control the amp remotely and make adjustments to some predefined tones. The amp is in stereo and gets loud. I’m still trying to find the sweet spot though. If you have any experience with one of these let me know what you think, and what settings you use.

    Thanks!

    Congrats on the new amp!
I'm not familiar with the Boss Katana stuff, although have lots of experience playing and recording with the company's COSM modeling multi f/x pedals. I almost always used their Marshall amp patches with lost of mids and treble, similar to the VH debut album sound.

I can only imagine that they have gotten better and more realistic over the years. Have fun with it!

I don't have the air, but I do have this one: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...watt-combo-amp . I assume they have somewhat similar tones.

I really like mine. I haven't fully gotten the tone figured out either. When I get home I'll try to see what I've got it set at right now.

I recently purchased a Katana Air only because I got it on Ebay new in box for only $240..
My main amp is a 100Watt Super Lead half stack with a Helix, but seldom do I get a chance to crank it.
So I love the Katana air, its great for taking wherever you are hanging in the house, or back patio. I use this amp often.
As far as a sweet spot, I find the Boss phone app dials in a decent VH era sound on the Brown or Lead channel.
Yes it can get loud, but like an old school jam-box. You can tell it has 3" speakers.
Buying a set of rechargeable AA batteries on Amazon is a must with this amp! Wish I had something like this back in the day.

Can you share your “Brown” and “Lead” channel settings? Thanks!

Sorry! I meant to do this two days ago. I know mine will sound a little different, but the settings I'm using right now for Brown are:

    Gain 9 o'clock
    Volume 10
    Bass 3
    Middle 1.5
    Treble 12

I would play around the most with bass.
