Butch Maier, Kevin Calhoun, and Larry Wynn are the names I remember. Really good players. Seemed like good guys. Butch and Kevin were in my class, Wynn was I think ‘92. He was really good, I loved his game. He was a stud his Sr year once the other guys left. Averaged 20+ I think.

My last college game was in your gym. Conference tournament. March ‘91. You guys had blown us out a week earlier by 30 something. Beat us by 5. Best game of my career, dropped 27. Wish it was 33 lol. I was friendly with your HC at the time, he lived in Keene and I’d bump into him here and there. He was pretty funny after that game. White as a ghost, he was like you SOB, you almost got us. Would have been an epic upset. But wasn’t.

Larry was better than those guys by the time he was a senior. I loved his game, he was so damn smooth. He was GOOD.

Those guys were fun to play against. I have no idea what they were like off the court, but on the court, really good guys. We had some killer close games. My soph year, which I would assume was before you got there, we won in your gym in OT. Roof was coming off the place. My Jr. year they beat us in our gym on a last second 3. I missed the damn FT to go up 3, so I lost it for us. M-F-er. I can still remember the dude pulling up and letting it fly. Goddamn it.

It's actually kind of interesting - I think your school was a big reason that Keene decided to drop to D3 in the mid-late 90's. You guys were brand new into D2, were right down the street, and blew right by us in pretty much every sport in a 4-5 year period. FPC was very open about their willingness to spend the $ to dramatically improve the athletic program. Keene St. just couldn't compete with that kind of spend. When you looked at D2 in New England back then - and probably still to this day - all the schools were either public schools that were double/triple our enrollment (specifically Southern CT and UMass Lowell), or private schools that had $ to play with (everyone else). Not a good dynamic for a 3500 student state school. As much as I hated it at the time, D3 is probably the right place, they are doing really well there. But we had some fun games against some very good teams. Lost most of them, LOL, but still fun.

Always wondered why they went to D-III.

One of our basketball players became an actor. Remember Henry Simmons? Ended up on NYPD Blue for a few seasons.

Just Jim Harbaugh being Jim Harbaugh. Amazing how different a guy he is from John.

It's not that he's not wrong, but what does it have to do with his program? If he's insinuating that Urban may have used ineligible players, or was otherwise breaking rules, then come out and say it. Otherwise, why bring up a coach that is no longer heading the team that you are paid to beat, failed miserably at, and who also seems to still be resting his nuts on your chin?

Didn't see the whole interview, but he simply might have been asked.

I can't get too upset about Harbaugh taking a shot at Meyer, I don't like either one of them, let them snip at each other all day long.
