Man it’s weird how people can hear different things.

Eddie and Sammy are the dream team imo.

    That voice with that guitar.

    Forget about it.

    So true.
Dave's aging personality play a part as well.
Can't imagine the crazy stuff I'm gonna be spouting twenty years from now...if I'm lucky.

LOL. I still think it's funny so many get their panties in a wad about the book.

The book was tame. No more or less scathing than Dave's book. Both lead singers held back a LOT of mud and shit they didn't have to in their autobios. I found both books far less racy and scandalous than they could've been. Monk's book had more dirt than both.

Yeah, Sam's book didn't bother me either. It was not putting Trunk on ignore all these years that bothers me. LOL

for me, Dave's interviews are always a hard read or listen. he talks so much about so many things when answering what initially sounds like a simple question. I'm sure some people find it great and that's cool but I find myself forgetting what the original question was. Dude's mind is always going a million miles and hour in many different directions.

I've always felt that way too. Not only is it pretty tame anyway relatively speaking to other "tell-alls" but it was released in 2012. Eight years after their bad reunion and four years after Eddie became sober. Eddie had plenty of time before the book if he wanted to reconnect. The idea that somehow that book is even partially why Eddie won't mend the friendship is ludicrous to me. Eddie was done with him already whether there was a book or not. I mean, Mike has gone out of his way to only say good things about the band and about Eddie and even Wolfgang, even after being insulted by Eddie and temporarily erased from history, and Eddie has still permanently shut him out anyway. Trying appeasement with Eddie is like trying appeasement with a dictator.

    The book doesn’t matter.

This is rock n roll and other bands have done much worse to each other and are still a band.

How Eddie behaved and treated people is what’s wrong. Not a book about Hagar’s life that includes one chapter about his experience on the 2004 tour.

Most mentions of VH are looked back upon fondly.

It’s Roth fans that put way too much stock into it. Which is weird that they actually read it since they claim to not be fans.

I'd bet good money that Ed doesn't give two fucks about his chapter in Sam's book, and that it has absolutely nothing at all to do with that red rocking stick up his ass.

But it is always fun to read the angry, tear soaked opinions of those that take Sam to task for his poison pen letter.
