I wouldn't say much better, but I think VH II is a stronger overall album than WACF.

Same here. VH2 might just be the best VH album. I can’t say that about W&CF. It’s not even in the discussion.

If Iím honest bottoms up sums up classic Van Halen. Dave and Eddie goofing off and some killer vox from Mikey with the reverend Al bringing the thunder. I struggle to find a finer thing in music.

Itís a good album but I think it sounds funky to me because they recorded it in studio 2 instead of studio 1 where they recorded all the albums pre-5150. Just sounds a little hollow. And the guitar sounds off. Still good but not as hot as Edís work before and after.

How great is this live version from 1979 where we can actually hear Mike's bass?

Sophomore leftovers from VH1. Except for DOA, Bottoms Up, and LUTS, which of course are quintessential VH.

Weakest album of the six pack by a long shot.

Maybe, but I think the songs are better on the first two albums. That being said, Everybody Wants Some!!, Romeo Delight and In A Simple Rhyme are all cream of the crop Van Halen.

Lol, we will never agree or change each other's minds. But, yes, the tunes on the first two albums have simpler, more radio friendly structures.
