Default VH launched Balance Tour on this date in 1995!!

I saw five shows on this tour and the band were phenomenal each show. Personal fave was 4/16 Auburn Hills where I had 3rd Row and took my dad. The band subbed in Judgement Day for Big Fat Money and encored with Don’t Tell Me.

What shows did you see on the 1995 tour?

I saw them in Worcester, Great Woods, Albany and Hartford.
In Hartford, they played a teaser of RWTD.

I was at the Worcester show and Great Woods. I always felt that the Great Woods show was really flat. I don't want to say bad but just felt like they mailed it a little that night. Just curious what you thought.

I saw them twice on that tour. The first time was in early April 1995 at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, CA. The second time was on October 7, 1995 at the Blockbuster Pavilion in Devore, CA (the same venue as The US Festival in 1983). We had 5th row tickets. Great show and the last time I ever saw VH with Sammy.

Saw that tour in Providence and Great Woods (Mansfield Ma) the same day Jerry Garcia died.

So….didn’t attend this tour. It was in the spring of my junior year of college. I was short on cash. My best friend with whom I went to most rock concerts was off at basic training. I was also musically distracted by a lot of alternative music (not grunge) at the time. I figured, “hey, I will catch the next tour”. Well, there was one more tour with Sam that I did get to attend but it was a long wait and it was 2004…..

I saw them twice that tour as well. San Antonio in the spring (from memory), and again around September just south of Austin, outdoors. The Austin show was much better but part of that was probably just the party vibe and having a much better spot in the crowd, I was practically behind Mike I was so far on the side for the first show. I didn't for one moment notice any tension in the band from my memory. But again I wasn't that close either time.

I have some great bootleg dvd-rs from that tour, as well as recorded footage from the Jon Stewart show etc.

Oh yeah, I'm sure you all know about the two nights they played here in Toronto, setting attendance records at the time, for the PPV special... I loved most of Balance when it came out, and jamming along to certain songs on there. Some played live onstage by my then band, and some just rehearsed in the practice space, with friends drinking beer and eating pizza...

    Good times!!!

I think I saw them in Roanoke Virginia on that tour, or maybe Charlotte, NC. Some of it is a blur at this point.

I still remember my buddy Rob saying to me after the show "they are breaking up after this tour, you just watch."
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!
