Default "I'm The One" Cover - In Honor of the 41st Anniversary!

I've covered this one a few times, it's the #1 VH tune that alludes me. The swing and swagger to Ed's playing here is immeasurable. I've never been able to get a take I'm fully satisfied with, and as a result many licks need fine tuning. But, I wanted to put out something for VH's 41st anniversary, so here we are!

Playing the usual rig. Locke, Musikraft, Pariah, MXR, and EVH Gear throughout. 🙂

    Insane and awesome, as usual!
Great tone and ripping licks. Mad props to you, Jedi!

His lip sync was a little off on the shooby-do-wahs, the Russian judge is going to dock him a point.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

    Fuckin' awesome man!

I've been trying to play that tune since pretty much the time you were born. It is so hard to get the rhythm part right and you did a hell of a job.

Oh, and your tone sounded great too!

    Nice work!
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Default "I'm The One" Cover - In Honor of the 41st Anniversary!

    Thanks dudes!

Also, I want to say itís unfreakingbelievable that Ed played this tune on a standard Fender trem not only in the studio, but LIVE too. So much trem abuse, and a lot of it is right before chords where you donít have time to put the strings back to pitch. I putzed around with this on my new Strat that has locking tuners, a graphite nut and a fresh application of lubricant and it still wasnít as stable as it would need to be for this tune.
