    Oops..., sorry.
All I can say from first hand experience is that I have put Floyds in my AX40 guitars, with no issues or extra complications. Direct drop ins. I've heard that Gotoh is a direct replacement that will also fit without mods, yet haven't done it myself.

I know that Dutchie put a Floyd in his Ibanez Jen Jr., and the posts etc. lined up fine with no extra routing (if I recall correctly), so their Edge trem seems to be compatible with a Floyd in terms of stud spacing.

I just picked up a small 15 watt Orange practice amp from my boss for 30 bucks. I must say, I've really been enjoying the clean tones from it via my Strat and Tele. For 30 bucks I just couldn't miss.
Itís a Crush 20RT. Itís a good practice amp, but Iím not a huge fan of the overdrive tone itís a little dark for me. So I have a Friedman BE-OD that I usually run for my distortion on the clean channel.

I'm very interested in checking one of those pedals out!

Yeah, none of the Friedman stuff is cheap, yet I see so many rave reviews about the gear.
'Better' for getting an early VH-ish tone than the 5150 overdrive stomp box? My MXR Super Badass still works for me, although I just set up a gain/tone setting that I like, as opposed to trying to clone a certain album's sound.

    Default Building a guitar......

Yeah Iím not trying to dial-in a Van Halen sound with it, Iím just looking for a little less dark distortion for practicing thatís closer to how my 5150 sounds. I find the Friedman works good for that.

In the 2 years since the BEOD has been out they recently released the dual BEOD which now has a mids pot. I loved the first version into a clean platform and would still be using one had I not got a good deal on a 2nd amp a few years ago

Cool. Mine is a Crush 15, and I agree Iím not a fan of the overdrive tone either. But the clean channel shimmers like no other solid state practice amp Iíve ever played... and the price was right. Iím going to pick up a distortion pedal, but havenít really begun to look or listen for one just yet.

I use one for the same reason as Brett. My Orange amp gain is too dark for my tastes.

Almost all of my partsocaster builds have turned out to be some of the best guitars I've ever owned, at least in terms of tone and playability. I don't have the skills or gear to do a factory-fresh gloss finish...and certainly not one like a 3-tone sunburst...so my finish work leaves MUCH to be desired. But, I've had the opportunity to play two of the $25K Frankie replicas and I liked my homebrew Frankie WAY better in tone, playability AND accuracy of the relic work (Thanks Nikolai! )

I've got the itch to try this one. I've got the BE-OD single channel and love it. Between that and my Bray 4550 Deluxe, there's not a tone I can't cover from crystalline clean to more gain than I'd ever use.
