Where are you seeing Tom Jones? Has always been a fav of mine and I loved Tower of Song, great song and at his age.

I am catching Kiss for the first time at Moline, IL

Also the Struts, Foos, Y&T, Rough Riot, Pyromantic and VH. I want to catch an Aerosmith residency show in Vegas as well just have not booked it yet too crazy work wise next 2 months.

No tickets to anything actually purchased but I'll probably see Iron Maiden, maybe ELO and if they tour again this year, Killing Joke, Savages and maybe The Cult. I would have normally checked out Muse (would be the 3rd time) but the new album sucks so bad, I'm passing this tour. Otherwise, looks like a pretty lean year, most of the old warhorses I've seen plenty of times at their peak decades ago I don't need to see cynically rehashing the hits again.

Just checked, and I can get great seats for Iron Maiden for $35.

VH was well over $100 per seat for the same section. If the schedule works, going to add Maiden to the schedule.

seeing KISS last week in Fresno is the first concert I've been to in over 10 years! I wanted to go to a few shows last year but whimped out at the last minute. I will try to make up for that this year.

I still love going to shows, especially since most of the acts I like are playing clubs and small theaters anymore. It is actually shaping up to be a pretty good concert year for me, especially if EVH decides to actually do something. So far this year I've been able to check out Last in Line and Y&T. The Red Dragon Cartel is coming to town in March and I'll go to see Jake even though I really don't like the new album. George Lynch has a new project (shocking!) called The End Machine, which is basically Dokken with Robert Mason fronting it. I've got tickets for that as well. Then Iron Maiden and Def Leppard this summer in Vegas. If Sam adds a local date, I'll go see him too.

How were the Last In Line, and Y&T gigs?

I'm in for The Circle on consecutive nights.

The Last in Line show was really good. The three songs they played off the new record came across really solid live. Campbell seems like he's really feeling playing heavy rock again. He was one of my favorites back in the day, so it's good to see him getting back at it. The rest of the band is great as well. I really like Vinnie's playing.

The Y&T show is always good. Dave is amazing, 65 playing and singing a 2 hour 20 minute set. He's lost a bit off of the top of his range, but his voice is still strong in the middle of his range. He's still so agressive as a player. In celebrating their 45th year of touring they played at least one song off of each of their records, including their pre-A&M stuff. Good show.

I am hoping Sam adds an Arizona date after the summer break.

FUCK YOU, Buckhead Theatre! Nothing could better convince me to put my Visa card back in my wallet than that arrogant slogan. Just drop the damn prices!

Good thing young people today can watch shit for free on YouTube. No sane person would shell out these prices.
You're looking at a third party website. Those are not the face value prices.

The floor is general admission and the price on Live Nation is $54.50 after fees ($40.50 pre-fees, so you could probably pay this amount at the box office, or a smaller fee than Live Nation at least.)

Only show we've been to so far this year is Dark Signal (a local band) in January.

In March we are seeing Blue October doing an acoustic show. In May we are seeing Colin Hay (Men at Work). In June we are seeing Devin Townsend (acoustic). In August we are seeing King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

We pretty much only go to small shows these days. We're just over the big arena and stadium-type shows, though there are always exceptions. They just can't hold a candle to the small venue vibe.
blah blah blah Devin Townsend blah blah blah

Probably see the same band performing the same songs as I have the past two years in Titusville.

Will be looking for an opportunity to see some unknown band in some unknown bar someplace at some point.

Nice! I'm a huge fan of both Dio and Y&T.

When Viv and Ronnie had their little spat, I chose sides. Next to Sam, Ronnie is/was my guy. I do wish they could have made peace though. Glad to see Viv healthy and rockin'!

Dave Fuckin' Meniketti!! They may be a NorCal band, but let me tell you, their reach was long. Digging that band all the way back to the late 70's, early 80's in my midwest existence. The ultimate road dogs!

Seeing Gary Clark Jr. in Chicago in March, the Circle in Indianapolis in May, and Van Halen wherever they may play this year.
