I kind of assumed the OP meant the Sydney pay per view show, and not the whole tour.
I know they played FYLT and another one or two not shown on the broadcast... Was HMSI on there too? That version (extended, btw) of Year to the Day is one of my favorite III moments.

My Tokyo Live discs are slated to be coasters in my next pad...

Truer words were never spoken by EVH.

    Again, it should reiterated.....

the last truly authentic VH song was Me Wise Magic. If I had a vote for one deep cut play, it'd be an absolute toss-up between PCTS and a stripped nuts to bolts version of MWM.

    For you, embedder....

I think it was the FYLT/SBGMAD with Mike on vocals combo.

That was actually a highlight for me, I wouldn't want Mike singing an entire show but he kicked ass on that one!
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

You would think there'd have been one decent to middling passable track. I used to think FITH was it. FITH probably still has a decent rhythm foundation...should've been used elsewhere. I forgot, isn't there a story about FITH? How it was first a Balance leftover? Or was it a BOV1 leftover demo? I forget.

But now...no, there's nada. Balls production and Gary's incoherent wailing kill it.

FITH is the only track on III that even sounds like Van Halen. The main riff is solid.

I thought they also did Jamie's Cryin' that night? Been a while, and I don't have the cd-r in front of me...

As a Van Halen fan waiting for a live album with Dave, I cannot express how disappointed I was in Tokyo Dome. I gave it one listen and said out loud, they really don't fucking care.

'98 by a mile. Can't believe I even said it.

They could have surely found a better recording from 2007 or 2012.

They could have taken so many songs from the early stages of 2007 and blown us away with a live album.

That would have required some modicum of effort on their part. As we all know too well, effort is the real "F" word in Van Halen land.
