Always loved this tune. Not as easy to pull off without a foot pedal to switch from dirty to clean but I think it came out alright.

The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Great job dude! Definitely in my top 10 VH songs, love that tune.

Although with the hat and the beard itís lookiní pretty chilly, you might should have covered Stay Frosty.

    Thanks guys.

I found my WACF disc, it was placed in the wrong case and I haven't seen it in months so when I found it I was excited to play some of the material.

I did Fools too. I'll post it here in a little bit. A lot of ad-libs in it, I try to play it similar to the version I have on the Eyes of the Night bootleg I have from 1976.

LOL, I've still got like a foot of snow in my yard. It's been pretty cold here, not as bad as the Midwest, but its still been Frosty.

I actually tried to work that one up a bit by ear but it seems like it is in a weird tuning so I couldn't figure it out.

Awesome! Fools is another fav, and their live versions from the 76 time frame were always smokin.

IIRC Show, SF is in dropped C

(I haven't played my electrics in months)

We've been at minus 23, two nights in a row, with about a foot and a half of snow

I'm still more used to the way Growth fades out on the vinyl version, than the abrupt ending version.

I used to imagine that they just jammed on for 10 or 15 minutes, and somewhere that chunk of tape is just floating around, waiting to be discovered

Great job, man. Love your interpretation of the solo. Very "Ed". True to the spirit of the record but with your own little whammy tricks and whatnot. I was chair dancing.

Ha, thanks! I remember reading som Ed interviews where he talked about trying to cop stuff and it always came out sounding like him.

I used to try to play the stuff note for note like I see others do and I just can't do it. I either don't have the skill, patience, or both. Like I saw Jedi's ICM solo and was like, "I'll never be able to do that." So I basically just quit trying and do my own thing while trying to at least keep the same structure of what's on the record.

So yeah, in listening to a lot of club days boots I noticed that Ed would kind of do the same thing. So I kind of got it from listening to that.

Funny thing is if I recorded this again the solo would be different because I can guarantee you I couldn't duplicate it if I tried. Actually, I'm not sure that I've ever used the bar in this one before to be honest, I just kind of grabbed it at the last minute for some reason.
