She's done! Get ready for picture overload.

I didn't count how many coats of Tru Oil I ended up putting on the top but it was probably between 8 and 10? The last 5 or so I thinned with a splash of mineral spirits to make it go on smoother. HIGHLY recommend that step.

I ended up going with a DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary in the neck and a PAF Master in the bridge. I went with the aged nickel covers (because that's what was in stock with the 15% discount on Reverb!). While I was ordering pots I found this neat thing called a V-Treb; it's basically a variable treble bleed circuit so that you can adjust the amount of high-end rollover whenever you turn down the volume control. Saves you from having to experiment with multiple capacitors to find the sweet spot.

I expected to have some issues during setup but man, the Musikraft neck is just fabulous. No buzzing or fretting out ANYWHERE. And the dual action truss rod really paid off here. I initially had no neck relief even with the truss rod wheel and it's slack position (in other words, a slight amount of backbow); all I had to do was turn it the opposite direction to remove the backbow and introduce a little bit of relief. I'm sold on dual action truss rods after this.

The conductive cavity paint came from Guitar Fetish:

    Yikes!

I kept 100% of the pickup leads intact in case I ever decide to swap them out and resell them. Wish more people did this.

Yeah yeah, I know...the tone cap is waaaay too big but it's the only 0.047uf I had in my parts pin (leftover from an amp project)

    Note the knob recesses:

It goes against almost everything I lean towards, yet your hard work has certainly paid off! I hope it 'feels' good to you and rewards you with exciting sounds!

That is so amazingly beautiful! As both a Les Paul & Wolfgang guy, I love it! Puts my Black Friday MIM Wolfgang to shame, for sure.
