Check out most of his album Lemonade. Missin' My Baby. Philadelphonic's Dreamin'.

He's a multi-talented guy. Harp, guitar, slide guitar, occasional steel pedal. His rhythm section in the Sauce are no slouches either. GREAT live show.

Yes the rhythm section sounds good but the song needs more writing especially w the melody and lyric. It sounds like a demo and not sure how w Anthony but the back vox do not sound good. It sounds not done.

Sam's most successful work has historically included being with another writer. The circle has no one else w a strong writing background. So what works as great cover band might be more challenged to create originals especially without any additional writing support. At 70 plus that is a lot of pressure writing wise w not a lot of support. Maybe other tunes are more complete I do not know but this is not as good as the original and needs work in my view. I'd say a good start if a demo but incomplete as a final song

Notice none of that opinion in anyway connected w van halen or Dave. Not everything is related to that, sometimes a song just sucks to others ears. Enjoy the shows and have a blast but yes one can have an independent opinion.

The vocals are buried in the mix too. WTF?

    From Michael Anthony’s social media:

The Circle's new single, "Trust Fund Baby" is out - check it!!

"Trust Fund Baby" is the first single of The Circle's debut original album, coming out May 10th on BMG! The band will mount a large-scale tour of North America, in support of the new album, in the Spring of 2019.

Stream or download the single at https://SammyHagar.lnk.to/TrustFundBaby

    Watch the lyric video at
    Eddie Van Halen in 2012:

"ESQ: What are you going to do with all the material that you wrote with Sammy Hagar?

EVH: Oh, I hadn't thought about that. That's some great music. They're just on vacation, maybe. They're off to college and they're going their own way. Who knows?"

Yep but as many mentioned his bass sounds great. You have one of the greatest background voices in rock, bring it up in the mix

I love Sammy in Van Halen. I like a lot of Sam outside Van Halen. I think Sam is a better singer than Roth. I like VH4.

But this song is shit, dude.

You gotta compare this song with what is comparable. This is a Sammy solo song. And it is better than the material on Livin It Up and his recent solo releases. There is no EVH or Satch playing on it, so it's more of a riff based approach. Production is pretty good. A step in the right direction compared to his most recent solo records which I didn't like at all.

Nobody said anything about "Roth" in this thread up until you did. Could have left it at VH4, but you didn't. Nobody said Tattoo was better. Not even sure why it's posted in Main since nobody in "The Circle" has been a member of VH for over a decade.

    Let the shitfest begin!!!!

I think thereís a reason the circle has released an album of new songs before, they arenít very good it
The main riff is okay, the subject of trust fund baby is lame, it just isnít a song that resonates
Iíll forget about it by tomorrow. Doesnít really have a hook and isnít catchy

I actually like a lot of Sams solo stuff, up through Red Voodoo

Sam is at his best when heís writing with s chip on his shoulder, he doesnít have that right now, and because of it the lyrics feel phoned in

    No way, man!

If you don't like it you're part of the "Roth Brigade!"
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Opinions are just that. I think this song wails.
