House of Pain or Pleasure Dome.

Aw man. I dunno about those two. House of Pain is my least favorite song on 1984, one of my least favorite VH tunes in general. Pleasure Dome would need some floating tree action, and I've got no guitars that float. I'll get back to ya.

I actually forgot that you weren't a big fan of HOP... Sorry.
Pleasure Dome? I don't own any floating trem guitars either, so I know what you mean. No worries.

How about Feelin', Don't Tell Me, 5150, or The Dream is Over?

All pretty blazing Eddie solos IMO.

Gotta love all of those. Dream is Over is probably my favorite of that bunch. Hmm.

4 of his best from that era. Feeling is my very favorite Ed solo from the Sam era. Wish it was in a better tune.

I do love all of those!
Would enjoy hearing your take on any of them, and The Dream is Over would be a cool start.

Eddie did a lot of neat stuff on the Carnal Knowledge album.

Except decent lyrics and vocals. Sam's "deep" lyrics are cliche ridden and banal, and his wailing is excruciatingly painful on that tune.

That pre solo breakdown and solo section though? Classic Al, Ed, and Mike blazing away. The best 2 minutes of music on the entire Balance album.

Respectfully disagree. I think it was a great lyrical and vocal performance to compliment a masterful musical performance by Ed.

So yeah, how about we keep the Sam & Dave bashing OUT of the Guitar Room threads?
I know some people can't help themselves, yet c'mon...

Would love to hear Jedi on any VH tune, Dave or Sam. Keep ‘em coming.
