Default :::What Band Members Make Up Van Halen Where You Live?

In the Charlotte NC area, Van Halen IS Dave, Al, Ed, and Mike. Sammy is "Sammy who?..."

In NY, it was a 50/50 split between Dave and Sam; (both era's are acknowledged and appreciated).

Van Halen has always done well with its concerts up in Washington State. Even the show at the Gorge with Gary had pretty good attendance, albeit slightly less than other tours. But, on the radio it's always been about 3 to 1 in favor of the Dave era.

Toronto is a Van Halen city.
Much appreciation for the two main eras, and even Gary did okay here. The GTA (Greater Toronto Area) has been good to the band, and the band has been great to us!

    - Headlining the Canada Day festival in '93.
    - Pay per View special in '95.
    - In store and studio meet & greets in '98.
    - Record setting attendance at times.

    Etc.

    We love our VH!!!!!

I donít know about 50/50. When you say NY are you talking the tri-state area? Van Halen only played MSG once during the Hagar years. They would always hit New Jersey and the Colosseum in Long Island.

I can tell you CVH was HUGE in NYC thatís for sure.

Yes, I should've specified the tri-state area, and as a native NY'er, I much agree with what you wrote.

Do tell...what agenda might I have?

Heck, with the prospect of Mikey coming back, I have a hunch that Sam will too. In the tri state area, a DLR/Sam show would boost ticket sales; in the heart of NC, not so much.

Not surprising . I ain't slagging on the State of Washington, but I am told that outside of Seattle, the State is largely redneck (and I ain't slagging anyone, as I myself am a redneck).

That's cool - especially about Gary - as he didn't do well on Long Island (NY).

Because the so-called 'Dave' fanboys are always gonna say that Dave Halen was so much bigger in (insert city or state here), when in reality, 98% of mainstream VH fans went and saw VH whether it was Dave or Sammy. That's reality.

And further, there is no 'real' classic Van Halen preference in albums either other than VH1 and 1984, which are by far the most played records for the mainstream...nobody fucking cares about ANY of the other 8 albums anymore. VH1 and '84 are it. Because they're the pop flashpoints.

If there's a Circle tour and a VH BOBW tour in the cards for Sam next year...that will be quite a thing.

I do not think there is much in the offing, but if there is, it's another VH4 thing, maybe with a big partner co-bill.

Yeah, well we're "here" so that's who he's talking about.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

The radio play here is about 80/20 Dave vs. Sam.

But I think Denver just likes Van Halen regardless of who is on the mic.

Fiddlers Green was full in a blizzard in 1995 when VH played here. It was full in 1998 for VHIII. Red Rocks was the only venue to sell out in 2015.

I don't think most people in Denver care who's singing.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.
