Default What Live Rock You Watching

    I like to Rock.

At home in my Home Theatre Media Room.

Pop in a live rock concert dvd/bluray & crack open a cooly & spark a doobie & rtfo.

Unfortunetly never really know when I'll get the chance to do so. Usually occurs on a weeknight either Tuesday or Wednesday & sometimes get lucky and have a Friday or Saturday night. Always dependant upon when the chickypoo's out for the evening or crashed out early & then have some freedom time to myself for awhile.

I usually have a few shows saved up to watch when the time is right. Tonight I finally watched The Rolling Stones Live At Leeds 1982 From The Vault series. I've had it over a year & finally watched it tonight. Along with some KISS & ZZ Top.

I'll surf the net while I'm hanging out too. Always a bunch of Youtube stuff to dial up.

My " Watch Later " list is about a mile long.

Haven't been watching much VH lately but that could change anytime. Actually VH is always on my mind to check and see but rarely ever spend more than 20 minutes watching them. ( I don't want to go overboard to the point where I'm sick of them) is the reason why.

If you check out & suscribe to some of those Youtube channels you can see the selection is overwhelming to say the least.

No way in hell could check them all out....but dont know which ones are best...so frustrating not knowing if you're missing out on something really goid.

For example- I didn't even know about those 1970 & 1971 Led Zeppelin pro shot shows until recently....had no idea at all...never even looked at the Led Zeppelin stuff....( so preocupied with VH)

Too much stuff to mention in one post.

Right now while typing this I'm watching Black Sabbath Heaven & Hell @ Radio City Hall 2007.

This thread is for chit chat about what you've watched recently & recommend.

Live concert Official DVD's & Blurays as well as bootlegs & You tube clips.

    What do you recomend

Not a fan of watching/listening to live music unless I am actually there to experience it first hand. If you are not in the audience, it loses a lot for me. I'd rather listen to the album in that case.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I’m really wanting to have an Achtung Baby/“Zoo TV” night - the album, the videos, the concert - all of it! We’ll see...

I see now my initial post maybe a little long winded & wordy...

Was just thinking about all the official LIVE DVD releases throughout the years from various artists.

Almost as common as Live albums....but can watch on video.

AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Motley Crue, Allman Brothers Band, Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan,etc,etc,etc,.....

I can't be the only one who buys & watches these live dvds......for many years these kinda new releases were always stocked at the cd music stores HMV, Walmart, etc, etc, ....( until recently)

Nowdays- I'm guessing another lost medium fallen victem prey to the Internet....streaming & youtube.....

    Less releases lately I've noticed....

It boggles my mind that I've yet to spend $1 on Greta Van Fleet, yet I can listen to the entirety of their albums and EP's, and they have hours and hours of multi-camera HD video with soundboard audio on YouTube. How do they make money like this? They'll be rock stars and driving Ford Focuses.

They make money from YouTube. No artist makes a living on album sales.

Over the last couple weekend while the wife and kid were out shopping leaving me to do shit like put up the tree, wrap presents and other mundane household stuff, I've been playing some of these Blu-ray or DVD concerts as background music.... at top volume:

    Rammstein - In America
    Iron Maiden - Flight 666
The Rolling Stones - Voodoo Lounge Uncut
Judas Priest - Live Vengence '82
Hans Zimmer - Live in Prague

AC/DC Let There be Rock. Live in Paris. I saw it for the first time when it was originally released in a movie theater. I never got to see Bon live so this is the closet thing most of us got.

working my way through "David Gilmour: Live At Pompeii". I've watched the concert and the supplemental songs - have the documentaries yet to go.

Just a phenomenal show! The effects for "Run Like Hell" were so bright, the whole band had to don shades:

Good mix of Pink Floyd and solo Gilmour (though he doesn't touch his first two albums). "One Of These Days" is a nice treat and the laser show from "Comfortably Numb" is killer. Not a fan of the saxophone player and the back up singers get the words wrong to "Great Gig In The Sky", but everything else is top notch. Weirdest part was seeing Guy Pratt somehow make the "ticking" noise at the beginning of "Time" on his bass (can't remember if that was in the main concert version or the supplemental South American version. Also, for the South American clips, the majority of the audience is wearing Pink Floyd or David Gilmour t-shirts - except for that one guy that showed up supporting Led Zeppelin!)
