    Canon? Haha my ass canon.

No rock fans in America even knew about this one obscure live performance....at all.....even to this day over 30 years later....

There's no consensus of what you flippantly propose as factual opinion of the masses relating to this DLR appearance jamming with Billy Squier.

But yeah- at least you are now clearly stating your preconcieved prejuduce....plain as day.

" DLR solo and Billy Squier suck. Together they suck twice as much".....

This comment....says it all about you.....your opinion is worthless....completely invalid in every possible topic.....you judge a DLR/Billy Squier live performance from 1983 that you weren't at nor even ever heard a bootleg tape of.....

But yeah- somehow you've taken it upon yourself to review a performance never seen nor heard as " sucking" ....as you so eloquently put it.

& not only that add in the ridiculous unfounded claim that " most of the rock world would believe as canon"

    Hahaha....

Gotta say....I do love that word. Canon.....

You must have a thesaurus handy at all times.

    CANON!!!!

As VH fans, we are a hopeful bunch. Hopefully one more tour or something from the band.

Anytime Dave or Edward play w other artists one off it is interesting as neither do it very much.
What stands out to me when either do is how unique each really is. They fit so well together even if held together by tension. But they just do not blend with others seamlessly. Not in a bad way, but just clearly everyone adjusting to each because Edward cant sound like anyone but Edward and the same for Dave. So those guest spots are always interesting either good or bad.

Of that, there is no question. Even the folks who attended.

    Here's a fun one.

What an absolute crime against humanity it will be if we never see these four guys onstage together again …

Sorta surprised we didn't. Hate to say it but they were probably just too dumb to think of it .
I remember before the album came out, I was hoping we'd get at least one double bass kicking tune and a few blazing rockers. I was ecstatic that we got two tunes of Al working the constant double bass and pretty much an entire album of blazing hard rock, Van Halen style.

Any more rumors come of this? Seems to have turned into the usual 'hopeful' or 'this is my opinion' thread

    https://metalheadzone.com/eddie-van-...halen-reunion/

This is interesting in as such as it was a non-answer.

Depending on how it was written, seemed like, oh, you want to talk about this? Gotta go.

That full interview is is in the random thread and no where on it does the interviewer ask about reunion rumors. Eddie did end the interview with the coyote in his backyard though.

    Yep.
    Fake news!

    Last question was

    "OH, also..."

Cliffhanger. But not necessarily a VH cliffhanger!

    Could have been about anything.

In the 2016 Phil Collins memoir, he describes a meeting in Glasgow, Scotland between all original members of Genesis to mark the 30th anniversary of the Lamb Lies Down On Broadway album by way of a reunion tour.

All members were on good terms, many had collaborated with each other on solo projects in the intervening years. The social unit of the band slotted back together in seconds despite it being decades since they worked together.

Also present were Genesis' manager and Peter Gabriel manager.

With conceptual agreement achieved, talk turned to business and from a presentation point of view, who would have the final say on various bits.

Immediately the mood changed and being British, no one fought but everyone said 'maybe' without anyone committing to anything.

Soon, tension arrived between Gabriel and keyboard player, Banks.

No-one could agree on anything, the meeting was dismissed and the 3 members of 'Pop' era Genesis, decided to reunite by themselves in 10 minutes flat there and then after the meeting.

Now imagine VH trying to achieve the same thing. When people who like each other can't get their professional act together over creative differences, imagine how difficult it must be for those who actively dislike each other.
