I'm a fan of what he's done in Van Halen considering the situation his father put him in. I'd rather have Mike in the band, but I'd rather have a semi-active band with Wolfgang than no band at all with Mike.

But he'd better hurry up and release something so he has something more positive to talk about on social media. Cause this is all getting very tiring.

He should have responded with humor as opposed to his ridiculous snark.

Make a self deprecating remark, and even the haters will show less hate.

But he comes across like a 14 year old teenager, ya know when they go through
that phase of constantly rolling their eyes?

I feel like our own Jedi looks & plays more like, what i would consider, the son of Edward.

Jedi would be the most fan friendly VH, and definitely feed us his songs consistently.

If you were to put music in front of both of them, he might be the better player. As to who is the better rock star, bassist in Van Halen, background vocalist, etc., I think that answer is clear.

Wolf's a talented musician, he just seems to like keeping his talents at 5150.

Wolf & Ed just shared this tweet:

Let's put it this way. Van Halen's fan site webmaster, who has a full time job (not as a musician), plus runs this site on an almost every day basis, has released more music in this century than Van Halen has.

    Drop mic.

I just don’t get why VH still behaves with this clandestine rigamarole when they are an irrelevant band (except to us diehards) in their late 60s. Yeah when you’re superstars in your prime, of course doing stuff like that makes sense and builds the image, mystique, and drama, but now it’s just silly. It is OK to level with your fans and be honest.

100% agreed. I really like him as a musician, and he is a large part of Ed's resurgence, I truly believe that. But taking on your fans, who are just looking for a small amount of communication, that ALL other bands provide, is not an unreasonable request. This album has been touted since 2015, and it was supposedly done, what, last summer?

A little update like "hey, just a heads up, the album is complete with the artwork and everything done, we are just looking for a distributor so we can set a release date. If we can't come to terms with a distributor, we will look into self releasing. Whatever comes up, can't wait to share this with everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my followers, fans and Van Halen fans. See you soon!"

    I mean, is that hard?

I am sure some dudes will go on there (Twitter I guess, IG?) and give him shit about nepotism or whatever, but if you are expecting everyone to like you and like your work, especially as an artist, man, you have unrealistic expectations. At one point or another, most of the greatest bands in history have either been hated by critics, had their work bashed by their fanbase, or both. You just fucking take it on the chin as part of being an artist and move on. Not saying you have to like it, but just fucking suck it up buttercup and get on with your day.

U2 has put out multiple albums that have been panned by almost everyone, and what do they do "hey Bono, how about a stadium tour?" They just keep on trucking.

I know this isn't the tread for it, but man, Jedi plays so effortlessly, and with, dare I say it, joy on his face.

I used to like a band once that had that same joie de vivre.
