Her singing style reminds me of Edie Brickell (sp?).

When I did my top 10, I completely forgot about Sleep's album The Sciences.

I was playing this all the time last spring. If you're not familiar, Wikipedia describes them as a doom metal band.

Exactly the look she had when I banged her. That's why it's so hot.

There's a Part II where she puts on fishnets and grabs a pointy headstock Flying V and does a big leap off the drum riser, executes some flawless tapping runs, then smashes her guitar while the studio blazes with pyro.

Not really. It's just not that kind of music.

She has a sort of vintage Dolly Parton sound to her voice.

She has the kinda face & hair that pushes all my buttons.

The only new band i really like is, Lucifer.

Their first album was very Sabbath-esque, which i preferred, but new one
    is sunnier, retro, stoner rock.

    I love Johanna's voice, though.

I love the way she says the word, "Hiiigghhhhhhh!"

The new album is more direct & 70's infused, while the first one was
    more "evil."

Check out the contrast, lyrically & musically.

I like it. Horrible band name though, I mean c'mon.

Riff reminds me of Sex Type Thing by the STP.

Going to get ripped but watching female guitar players is like watching the WNBA. Sure they are better than me and they can do impressive things but I just don't get the same "wow" when hearing them. Its kind of playing by numbers. Just like there are women playing in the WNBA that can dribble, shoot, etc but they are not going to do stuff that is going on in the NBA. I really think if they looked like me, nobody would be going "wow that guy is good." Them being a female or being hot adds to their playing ability.

Anyway my favorite album of 2018 so far is Ghost Prequele. Kind of reminds me a bit of Saigon with a few songs and since there could be a Satanic influence, well it reminds me of when Ozzy was fast and danger.

They had the guitarist from Cathedral (Doom legends) on the first album, which i think,
is why it sounds so Sabbathy.

Johanna booted the first band, then hooked up with these new guys to go full on Stoner
    rock, less metallic.

She's very Witchy, in a Stevie Nicks way, and loves that early 70's/60's band Coven, so
i'm sure the name "Lucifer" was derived from that sort of vibe.

Her first band, The Oath, was awesome.
Even more metallic, so you can see the progression of her slowly stripping that sound bare.

The guitarist in The Oath looked like her twin!

I was such a HUGE fan of Ghost's debut album & first incarnation.

I loved the look of Papa I, and i loved the all Swedish band (who later sued him).
They just look way cooler & more menacing in the robes, instead of jumping on the monitors.

    LOVED that band so much.

Obviously, Tobias made the correct commercial moves, but it was never the same for me.

    Watch this show.
It is so fucking cool & creepy.

Yeah that is creepy. I do understand when one follows a band at the start and see them get some pub it ruins what made one love the band. I am only starting to listen to them so need to go back and hear everything. I just thought it was cool on this last album how they have a sax solo in some instrumental jam

I loved that instrumental UNTIL the sax solo. LOL!

I think he quotes "Beat it" in that, too.

The guy is very talented & obviously has a dry, sophisticated sense of humor, but
there was just something different on that first album.

This is the instrumental from their first album, and it's a masterpiece.
The keyboard solo comes in at the perfect moment, and the way they end
it with isolated acoustic guitars, and those final, sad notes on the nylon string...

"Opus Eponymous" end with those notes (and that instrumental).

At the end, i was like, WHAT A FUCKING ALBUM!
    I LOVE THIS NEW BAND!
