Default Some More Covers - Iron Maiden Stuff

    Yo yo,

So I am too lazy to edit the videos I did for these, I still may, it just takes time, so for now I'm just putting up the audio tracks. I did a bunch of Iron Maiden covers with full backing tracks. The music parts of the backing tracks are very good, the singing...yeah...well it ain't Bruce Dickinson so just kind of have to know the singing isn't anywhere close. I just don't like to use backing tracks without vocals, I like to do complete songs.

Normally I record everything 1/2 step down, but decided to do everything correctly for these in standard pitch which meant I used my '96 Wolfgang and '92 EBMM on everything. The Wolfgang served as the "Adrian Smith" parts and the EBMM were the "Dave Murray" tracks. Used Guitar Rig 5 for all the tones, they're certainly not Maiden, but they worked. I did 8 songs so far, here's the list. As I get them uploaded, I'll fix the links, but the first two I'm throwing up are "Aces High" and "2 Minutes To Midnight."

    1. Aces High
    2. 2 Minutes To Midnight
    3. Wasted Years
    4. The Evil That Men Do
    5. The Trooper
    6. Run To The Hills
    7. The Number Of The Beast
    8. Wrathchild

    Enjoy!

Listening to Aces High... You def nailed the guitar parts. Your solo is dead on, tone and all. And I've listened to those songs prob 10,000x in my life.

I've always felt Murray/Smith were severely underrated. I think when there's 2 lead players, neither get the critical acclaim they should, esp those 2.

Digging the Stone in Love cover on your page. Prob my 2nd fav Journey song after Escape.... Sonically it sounds like an actual studio recording..

    Nice!

Really like the solos for 11:58 with the Adrian and Dave's parts.

Solos on Aces High are cool as well.

    Nailed the tone Brett.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

    Thanks man appreciate it!

Stone in Love is one that just for some reason Guitar Rig had the perfect sound for. I did very little to dial it in I remember that.

I love Dave Murray and Adrian Smithís playing. Two guys who come up with great leads without needing to be shredders. They are so underrated you are right. Iím a huge fan of both of them.

I just love playing Maidenís stuff.

    Sounds great, as always.
I don't know a lot of stuff by Maiden, yet can tell the guitar playing is pretty cool. Nice job(s) on the covers.

Since you are a guitar player, kind of surprised you don't know much Maiden, especially since you are an old geezer too.

My only nitpick is I think you have the "volumes" of the two different guitar parts backwards in the intro, at least that is how it came threw my speakers. The one that is louder on the album is quieter on your version. But man, that is it. Great playing as usual and you kill the tone.
