actually I don't think it's bad at all, though I wouldn't rush out and buy it or download it.

Initial reaction was that I wish Gary would just sing like Gary (like the Extreme records of yesteryear)

next reaction- I can't believe I'm thinking this as someone who plays guitar, but isn't the guitar a little too high in the mix?

Next reaction- cool riff. Kind of growing on me

Guess Gary has some spare time (he is touring with Joe Perry), while Nuno is touring as part of the Generation Axe group around Steve Vai. Hope Gary and Nuno finally finish get to the next Extreme album. They're simply best when working together.
    Now that sounds like Gary

    Wow, very dull.

I loved Joe's solo albums when he first quit Aerosmith.
He still looks cool, like he always did, but the tunes are just not there.

The well eventually goes dry, i guess.

Gary does not sound good on that.

Joe produced it. I think it sounds like a mess. I listened to several of the songs (streamed on Spotify!), and even a historic guy like Terry Reid is buried. Background vocals in the foreground, etc.

Joe bought a Neve board like Dave Grohl has and put it in his basement studio. In his autobiography he said he had been taking the Sun Studio tour when the tour guide slipped him a copy of his band's CD, which was like White Stripes-blues-alternative. Joe liked it and invited the guy's band up to Boston to record in his studio, with Joe producing. I looked it up (can't remember the name of the band), and people are getting better results on their PC's than Joe got with that priceless console.

He wrote some great songs, but when it comes to producing, Joe needs Jack Douglas or Bruce Fairbarn twiddling the knobs.

Still think it might be worth checking out live. I wonder how Gary will fare with the Aero covers.

The whole world would have to piss on that fire to make an impact.

Even if it does, this fire is gonna change the area permanently in a lot of ways, and will suffer accordingly over the next year as usual.

I hang out in Malibu, Agoura, Calabasas, and Woodland Hills a fair amount. Have lots of friends in those areas. Some evac'd with their animals already.

All the more reason to patronize establishments like the Canyon Club afterwards, because they'll need it. Lots of businesses tank after fires, not just the ones that didn't survive the flames.

It really is - actually both of Pat Badger's solo albums are really, really good. The first one was named "Time Will Tell", the second album was marketed under the Nasty Honey Ass Badger name. There's another great song on the first Badger album in which Pat and Gary sing:

Just read that Perry collapsed again back stage at a Billy Joel gig. Hope he's OK.

Thanks for posting! Since there's no more Extreme forums anywhere it's hard to get Gary updates and never heard this before. Really good tune.

Sounds solid! I do echo the other sentiments about Gary sounding like Sam. And I'm ok with that.

In retrospect, Sammy's "And Friends" album should've included Gary. Possibly backing vocals on "Father Sun".
