Okay, I'll add this, as it relates to my original post; People that could do that to defenseless animals scare me. Also, those who abuse/maim/kill children etc. Religious fanatics, ISIS, etc. scare me. There are a LOT of real life monsters in the world.

Sharks. There's a reason I haven't swam in the ocean since I was about 15... The constant fear of not knowing what's right below you, behind you, coming in from either side... Probably my biggest phobia.

    Dave's vocals on 'Beats Workin'.

A few PMs of late were discussing about what eventually drove Neitzsche mad. The German romantic was a sister loving sexist near Nazi, but he had some fair points about the human condition nonetheless. At the end of his life, he died of pneumonia after being committed to an asylum by his family because his breaking point was watching some horse buggy driver whip and beat his horse. He lost it. Literally ran into the street cursing the driver, hugging the horse, weeping uncontrollably, and then he just shut down forever. He SAW what humans really were in that moment. It must've been awful, seeing the true face of us. Animal cruelty is the worst of the worst when it comes to humans and their failings.

Is this the origin in the "creepy girl" thing in horror movies?

Not long ago I posted a story about this pos that buried alive under 3 feet of dirt and a rock, his elderly Shih Tzu was "clashing" with his new kitten and ex girfirfriend.

The dog was still breathing when it was found thanks to an angel. The poor thing was put down because of so much dirt in its lungs. I litterally cried on the way home from work. I was praying for this dog that God would welcome it and that the dog was happy roaming and playing in the biggest field in Heaven. In fact, I'm choked up now at work thinking about it. Motherfucker!

I went home and hugged mine for so long. I'm gonna lose my shit when they go. The last physical link to my mother.

I read in our Toronto paper this year some some sicko launched a Beagle off a 7th floor balcony... Witness said it made a horrific thud upon impact, and that the dog let out one last painful howl... I can't even imagine the poor thing's feelings and terror. I literally had tearrs in my eyes at work...

Damn! I don't consider myself a wimp, yet stuff like that really chokes me up. Not to mention infuriated at the same time. Like that old saying - 'Just give me 5 minutes alone in a windowless room with that Bastard...'

I don't mind spiders so much, but I am ALWAYS on the lookout for snakes. We've got copperheads around my way, and my neighborhood is wooded. I found a 3 foot long snakeskin in my garage in August; I figured out from the pattern of the scales and the overall shape that it is likely a black rat snake. Not thrilled, but I'd rather have one of those around than a copperhead.

We have water moccasins to the southeast of us - by about 30 miles they say; my guess is if they are 30 miles away then they are likely around here too. Water Moccasins are mean and nasty snakes! I hate those mofo's. Some snakes at least have some beauty in their color or pattern, but water moccasins are just plain ass ugly and mean. We've got timber rattlers not too far away as well.

    Agree about the snakes!
Another phobia of mine... I went to the Transvaal Snake Park in Johannesburg as a kid. Seeing stuff like Black Mamnas, King Cobras, Boomslangs, etc. really creeped me out. Especially when we lived in areas where they naturally lived... Eek!.

I feel for ya, at least where I live there aren't any poisonous snakes. We are surrounded by cornfields and there are many garter snakes and corn snakes. I spend a lot of time outside and when a large one slithers across my path I jump and holler.

My parents live in WV and I've seen many copperheads. One summer my mom had left the garage door open all day because rain water had gotten in. I went in there with a leaf blower and was blowing it out and just 5 feet away from me was a copperhead! It was in the worst position too, A box was open and the lid was leaning on the wall and it was on the top on the lid flap...on the wall!

I have never seen a water moccasin, f that. I think I might have to become an indoor person if those ugly bastards were around!
