I would think outfield would be the least of the Dodgers worries - unless they're losing someone. Maybe catcher, maybe bullpen (though if I'm a GM, I hate to spend on relief pitchers).

Catcher. Bullpen, and making sure Kenley Jansen is still healthy enough to be closer because right now heís clearly not.

I still think they want another big bat in the lineup.

Don't forget, Dodger still have 22 year old OF Alex Verdugo (their Top prospect). In only 92 AAA games last year..... .329, 10 HR, 44 RBI. Got a limited cup of coffee with the Dodgers in Sept. I could see him getting some time in the OF in 2019.

First big Front Office move is official.

SF Giants sign Farhan Zaidi (Former LA Dodgers GM 2014-2018/Oakland A's Ast GM 2005-2014) to be the new President of Baseball Operations. He will have full control of the organization.

Zaidi is obviously a big Analytics guy (M.I.T.), but he is also big on old school scouting. Should be an interesting mix of old and new thinking. Start the REBUILD!!!

Looks like Kimbrel will be heading out of town. They don't expect him to accept the qualifying offer, and I doubt they'll throw money at him. I wouldn't. He completely lost it in the playoffs. Flip of the coin whether he gets it back. Probably will, but they have better places to spend their money.

I'd like to see them sign Kelly if he'll go for reasonable $'s on the hope he had a breakthrough in the playoffs. And empty the bank for Eovaldi, do what you have to do. He's a guy who can start or come out of the pen late in games. He's a risk with his elbow, but f*ck it, Dombrowski specializes in big deals for medically suspect pitchers. Geez - I'm already back to slamming him...

I can't stand Boras. I hope Harper gets a fraction of what Boras is trying to get. If I'm a GM, I'd throw record $ at him for 5 years, and that's it. Go $35-40M per for 5 years. These guys are NEVER worth the money in the latter half of their deals.

Word out of Baltimore is Orioles have offered jobs to several for the GM position and they all said no.

Having good ownership is huge. Sox, Pats and Celtics all have that in common. They aren't perfect, but they're good owners. Bruins were shaky for a bit, but Jacobs came around and opened his wallet.

And I think a big common factor is that they stay the heck out of operations. The Sox struggled when Lucchino stuck his nose in a little too deeply and ran Theo out. And the Krafts may be doing the same now with Belichick, they seem to have cut him off at the knees on a couple of player decisions this past year. If true, he'll be gone as soon as this year, and I expect they'll decline until the Krafts get the f*ck out of the football operations.

Sounds like the Yankers are being cautious about Manuel Machado aka Mr Bling.

Yes. Is his baggage worth the price? That is the question.
