Not according to our friend from Bewitched. Heís talking like itís still 1973. So many markets have passed New York for basketball fandom a long time ago.

Maybe there is another universe going on where are Knicks are relevant. But itís not this one.

And obviously itís from being shitty for so many years. I agree. The idea that every great free agent wants go there to play there is so laughable. Why? Because the fans are so great? LMAO! LeBron would rather come here and lose than play in New York apparently.

it's hard to say, as NBA market I'd still put it near the top, but it's not what it was. Even the Garden has lost much of it's appeal as the Mecca of Basketball. Maybe in NYC most people believe that, but it's hard to make that case when you have that long a run of absolute ineptitude.

Okay, he was still fantastic (heck, he was Kobe), but at that stage he wasn't peak Kobe anymore that had dominated the league for so long. He'd been in the league 17 seasons at that point, and was never close to the same player following the achilles tear. He went from 27 ppg on 45% that season before he was injured to 18.9 ppg on 36% his last 3 seasons after the injury, and missed something like 100 games over those final three seasons after returning from the injury.

His numbers were that good the last 3 years?

Nope he wasnít the same, but also tore his labrum. He was hurt a lot besides the Achilles. He just broke down really fast after the Achilles.

Yeah, a lot of stuff caught up to him after falling out of shape recovering from the achilles.

Not that I like him but Westbrick is from here and so is Paul George. Thereís others but those just came to me fast.

Definitely the number one market. Way more TV's in that market than anywhere else.

Yes LA is the best car town.

You know you made my point repeatedly about not understanding the difference between the city and the franchise. Thanks.

I have never been to New York City and have no desire to do so. My wife has been there multiple times and said it's extremely crowded and dirty. Throw in the brutally cold winters and it sounds about as appealing as a week long Bon Jovi concert with Rosie O'Donnell and Lena Dunham onstage dancing in bikinis. But, maybe that's just me …

CFB is my favorite sport, but I will concur on I wish they hadn't fucked up the multi-sport conferences to appease football. The Big East basketball was it man. Probably never to be duplicated again.

New York is a great city...to visit. Outside of the weather, to be honest, as a visitor, I much prefer New York. Wouldn't want to live in either place, but would probably choose LA over New York just because of the weather. DC is too far north for me, not wanting to go anywhere colder than that.

Iíve been to New York like 10 times. And all over New York, the city, Long Island, upstate, everywhere. My mother is from New York, I have tons of family in New York. Itís fine to visit, I would never want to live there, and I kiss the ground when I get home.

Thatís just my opinion on New York. Itís a totally different lifestyle from what I like. I could never live there and after three days Iím done.

Still doesnít change the fact that the Knicks suck and their fans are pretty apathetic at this point.

Brett and I both live in the suburbs. I don't know why anybody in their right mind would want to live in downtown L.A. I would never willingly move away from Southern California.
