    Or something.

The biggest thing the Lakers have going for them is that it's a special place to win a title. So all things being equal a lot of players would rather win as a Laker than just about anywhere else. But to your prior point I think KD stays as long as they keep wining titles. Don't see the logic of jumping off a winner to go maybe win in LA.

The Lakers will be a lot better than people think. I mean itís pretty clear to me the media wants the team to suck so they can laugh at Lebron and continue to laugh at the Lakersí woes, but theyíre not going to.

Kobe didnít like being a second-fiddle. Although by 2002 he was the best player on the Lakers.

Agreed. They'll slot somewhere between 2-4 in the West by season's end.

That situation was more complex, I think. If Shaq wasn't a lazy slug those last couple seasons, Kobe's attitude about him would've been different, IMO.

If Lebron is healthy they'll be at least ok. No reason to think otherwise.

Unlikely unless a bunch of weird things happen but Lebron has succeeded with less talent

That's true. That little video they did recently showed that it STILL bugs Kobe. Too bad those guys didn't get along better. They would have won a lot more. And maybe the Spurs would have won less? (fine with me)

He dragged a worse roster to the finals last year. The Lakers will be very good.

Biggest missed opportunity in NBA history. How many rings were left on the table? I love Shaq, but he really blew it.

I think they should have been the Russell Celtics or damn close to it. No reason they couldn't rattle off 7 or 8 titles.

Without a doubt. Still, what, nine total finals appearances between them, and a handful of rings each. Any rookie would sign up for those careers, but it's crazy to think what they could've been even above those accolades.

No other team in NBA history (that I can think of) had 2 of the best 10 players to ever play on it. That team should have had that. I put 98% of the blame on Shaq and 2% on Kobe.

F Shaq. He ruined a good thing and he knows it. He could have left here a legend.
