I just donít see the big deal. Heís not good and neither is Kidd. Neither one needs to be coaching here.

Is there really no better coaching option out there than these two guys?

Once LeBron left Cleveland, they dumped him as fast as they could. He canít coach.

You guys are making something out of nothing. They didnít hire another shitty coach. Good. Itís fucking TYRONN LUE!
I feel the big deal is not losing Lue but how this entire process has been handled. Having 2 of the most toxic people advising the process after abruptly losing their president is an issue. The Suns were chosen by a coach over the Lakers. They should clean house with decision makers and bring in strong leadership instead of bring two highly toxic people to advise how to sort. That is not good and Lakers fans deserve better. Jackson had full authority in NY, he was an epic failure. He eclipsed Isaiah Thomas for incompetence, that is hard to do.

I'm shocked Mike Woodson has not gotten a head job since he left the knicks after winning 54 games with a bad organization and roster. He does not come up at all. I think before coaching Lakers need new decision makers above that.

I gotta wonder about the legitimacy of these reports that someone chose the Suns over the Lakers.

Active coaches with rings are Popovich, Spoelstra, Carlisle, Kerr, Rivers. Lue has one in 3 straight trips to the Finals.

I just have a hard time believing a coach who sucks gets to the Finals 3 straight years and wins a ring. I donít care who is on the team.

Not saying heís John Wooden, but letís be real, here.

Plus even Walton got 5 years from the Kings.

This was a cheap coach offer, they havenít replaced Magic. The perception is chaos, an owner relying upon Linda Rambis for advice and a front office where people up and quit and the guy left is hated.

Also, Kurt and Linda Rambis, Jeannieís top advisors, are apparently the ones who love Kidd, impressed with his player development in Milwaukee.

How does anyone look at the Bucks and think Kidd is the jewel who made it all happen?

The crap part is the Lakers stay healthy, develop some and add an all star level player they can be back in it the thick of it. On the court they are not as far off as they looked this year but it's hard to overcome bad leadership

That is exactly how Kobe tore his Achilles. Same reaction. Looking for who kicked him. Talking about Durant obviously.

Really hope itís not. How many people walk off? Kobe did, but thatís unusual.

    Charania says right calf strain.

Yep calf strain. Yeah his reaction though totally looked like an Achilles.

And true most guys donít walk off with a torn Achilles. Of course most guys donít shoot two free throws with a torn Achilles either.

Funny enough my daughter who is a ballerina was watching the game with me and she said it could be a calf strain because it happens to us a lot and feels like that. Guess she should be a doctor.

It's the same set of rules that do not allow Kyries contract and Anthony Davis contract to be on the same roster. It is why the Clippers spent past 2 years moving contracts because no being a rich team does not mean you can spend all you want. GSW can because their core are players they drafted and are resigning.

The point is the amnesty would allow the teams one bad sign every 10 years without burying an organization. They keep being stupid it won't help. In Gordon's case he is half way through a max deal and is improving but not near worth 31M he makes. Amnesty if the celtics wanted to allows the player to get his money and still play in the league but gets a team to not be buried. If Kyrie leaves and the celtics could amnesty Gordon think of the options this offseason they could have.

Ahh, they can't go over with certain contracts. Didn't know that. Thanks, Darrin.

I agree with your proposal. Teams being crushed like that isn't fair. Especially, with enormity of these contracts.

Curry came up huge tonight. He can shoot better than 26% from three when gets some rhythm. LOL

Durant getting hurt sucks. Seems like every year somebody goes down.
Hope it's not serious, but I'm not so sure that was a calf strain. We've seen that many times before. It was never a calf strain.

Can't say I blame the Lakers. Ty isn't worth a five year deal.
Six mil a year is fair. I'm guessing his coaching staff could've been a major issue as well.

They wanted rambis on his staff. Same move Jackson insisted on in NY. Players would literally get into physical altercations w him he is hated that much. Plus no NBA coach w as many games coached as him has a worse record. He is literally the worse coach ever.
Phil is banging the owner. Pelinka is Kobes guy. Decision and leadership based on these relationships is not how you build an organization.
