I saw Missing Persons at The Long Beach Arena on New Year's Eve 1982, which was my 19th birthday. Great band.

One of my favorite records of 1982 for sure. Still jammin' it regularly in '83 and 84 as well.

Which, reminds me, I think I listed it wrong in the records of the year tread. '82 not 84.

I had forgotten about this one:

Now that is a tour poster.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

It's amazing to me how much Lady GAGA & early Gwen Stefani ripped off Dale
Bozio's act, yet never copped to it.

I guess Missing Persons were never as hip as Debbie Harry.

Yeah, they just weren't big enough for everyone to notice. By the time of Goo Goo those kids had no idea who Dale is.

It's really a shame Dale doesn't get the recognition she deserves. She was sexy and I loved her unique voice and delivery.

And Terry is a monster drummer. He's gotten way too self indulgent with his oversized melodically tuned kit now, but back in the days of MP he was an amazingly interesting percussionist within the context of a rock band.

Damn. Lady Gagme and Gwen Stefani can't compare. Great
frontwoman and really one of the great unheralded bands of the 80s.

MP were a great band, all the musicians were top notch.
Really good tunes, and Dale had her signature vocals.

I have a couple bootlegs from them, and they KILLED it live.
She nailed her parts, and the drummer was UNFUCKINGREAL.

Terry Bozzio is one of the all time best drummers. And his toms had such great, open tones to them, they just sang.

He does these fills on this bootleg i have, and you're right, his toms sound like no one else.
These rolls he'll do, they sound almost organic & electronic at the same time.
Very modern & open, but great tone.

I've never heard such finely tuned percussion.

    The live song is "Windows."

He does all these SICK fills, during the breakdown, virtuoso percussion stuff.
Then he brings it back to Dale, by doing this straight up pounding on the floor tom.
He goes from technical to basic, and it sounds really cool.
