    I'm assuming you're referring to Dave's singing.

I won't disagree but it's no worse than that Poundcake clip IMO.

Yeah, Sam might sing a little better but with Vic and it being detuned it doesnt sound any better.

I'm guessing in both cases where the audience was there and having beers they didnt care and weren't analyzing YouTube clips to criticize the performance.

Not trying to single you out or anything like that but I think sometimes the expectations for these guys is a little unrealistic.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Blood and Fire is my favorite track on ADKOT. Reminds me of the true VH greatness from years ago. Love the lyrics too.....I'm back mother fuckers.

I thought the same thing when I first heard it. That's vintage Van Halen and it brought a big smile to my face.

The first time I heard Ed's incredible solo on B&F, followed by the Who-like power chords and Al's big fills and Dave screaming, "to Hell and back!", it actually had my eyes welting up. Classic VH.

Yeah, it's really bad. Most of the 2012 tour was bad for DLR, he was in poor shape vocally, which was a shock since he was so good on the 07/08 tour.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

That song requires being in that middle gear Dave simply never could hold and control. The entire 2012 tour he had zero control. It was like being spun around a 1000 times and then told throw a ball at a target sure occasionally it hits but not repeatable no matter what shape the arm is. Dave only adjusted down and gained some control after the mid tour break in 15. 12 had a few shows msg, Greensboro, vegas and new orleans that were solid but a very rough tour overall.

It is understandable from a human POV to ego up and just think push through it physically but that works when younger w less physical challenges, it doesn't when older and w more challenges. I admire him going for it but it did not work at all. Pittsburg, Indianapolis DC were ones that it was uncomfortable to watch the struggle.

Killer song however. His writing is as sharp as ever.

I am sure there are those on here that know but won't say (which I completely understand), for years I have felt that there is something wrong medically with DLR, Parkinson's or something like that.
