Saw them in ‘95 since my girlfriend was a fan. Not a bad show.

All we need now is for there to be a new Cars song called "Zevon".

I'm rediscovering all my old REM this week. Fun stuff.

Love me some REM. Well up until after Automatic. Had to listen to it in college and while I didn't really like it then, loved it a few years later.

Listening to all the CD's on shuffle yesterday... very impressed with the entire body of body of work. Not at all as high brow and uppity as I used to assume.

Stipe will always be a creepy dude and I've come to believe that Peter Buck might be an arrogant tool... but as a band they really have a great catalog.

Document sounded SO good in the car today on the way to market.

Anyway... about some of the songs I posted earlier.

I thought that Petty song had an REM vibe before there was an REM.

The Zevon/Hindu Love Gods songs are Warren with Berry, Buck an Mills as his backing band.

Buck and Hitchcock are good buddy's and Buck guests on his albums.

ITO is just inevitable in every thread... eventually. Might as well get it out of the way.

I never got into them until I read an interview with Peter Buck in a guitar mag. I still didn't get into them, but I he earned my respect. That guy knows his shit, even if he just plays for the song

"Battlehship Chains" was the second single from the Georgia Satellites' first album. But perhaps you already knew that.
