Hmm, was hoping for another of Sam's historical type series, but this is a game show type thing, Masterchef for guitars.

Ha, a shredding competition show. "You really sucked balls on that one kid".
Why not, they're doing everything else.

I thought it was a historical series too. I guess A competition should be somewhat interesting.

Yeah, that would have been very cool.

Maybe not enough interest from the general population though I guess......

    These guys were really bad!

Some of THE worst guitar tones, i've ever heard.
Alex Skolnicks candid expressions said it all...

The first guy was sloppy beyond belief, and the girl was even worse.
The others were just picking as fast as they could, with no control.

Youtube is loaded with monster shredders.
Why did they pick this group?

I have no clue but they sucked and their tones were excruciatingly bad. Most of these metal shredders rarely have good tone. They crank the distortion and suck the mids out. Not a recipe for good tone. But it looks like they were at the mercy of whatever amp they had to use there. The chick could barely play with some of the worst tapping skills Iíve ever heard in my entire life.

Yeah, she was way in over her head for her skill level.

I'm amazed that people are so confident that they think they ARE good enough
to appear on a shred competition.
    She sounded like a beginner.

    Put this girl on!

I donít think most people who can really play want to be on these kinds of things because theyíre stupid. These types of things are for posers frankly...people with huge egos and not necessarily a ton of skill.

There were a couple guys that could play. That one bald dude was pretty good.

He was like the only one, yet he was still so boring to listen to.

And none of them seemed to be able to do that metronome lick, in time.
