Hard not to like this band.

Edit - caught myself smiling watching this video.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

yeah they are the real deal

Have not seen them live (kind of think I am too old) but to me they are the best new rock band out there. Kind of have that Rock is fun vibe plus if a band covers a VH cover, well they have to be good

I swear if you listen to the guitar solo for DITS, you can hear the singer try to emulate Dave a bit with a scream

They're incredible live. Saw them at Club XL in Harrisburg. Great to see them in such a cool setting. They are so much better live since the songs don't have all the overproduction.

for any of you who have seen the band live, is it a safe show to bring a kid? One of my 8 year old is a huge fan of the band and I'm thinking of bringing her to on of their Toronto shows in September. Only concert she's ever seen was Taylor Swift (and that was in a private box sitting beside my other kids).

How big is the venue? I never took my 8 year old daughters to any rock shows, just because they were 8 and it was a rock show. Who know's what they'd be exposed to and I didn't want to stress out the whole time about how they were enjoying themselves (too loud? can they see? oops, did they see or hear that?!, etc.) Plus, I wanted to enjoy the show for me. At 16 they came along, though!

Anyway, if it's a big place and you can lay low, go for it! I know you Canadians are far more civilized than us islanders anyway, so probably no worries!

I saw single digit age children at Iron Maiden, was thinking "damn, and I left my 11 year old at home thinking it wasn't appropriate".

Definitely. It’s just a good time rock ‘n’ roll show and your kids will love it.

it's a 1500 seat place. it's got multi levels so I'll try to get us first row on the balcony so she has no one in front of her.
