    Default The Fender Play APP

Never played guitar in my life, always wanted to so I bought the Fender Play App the other day. It's supposed to teach you everything from the ground up so to speak. Anyone have any experience with this? Just wondering. I'm starting it today.....I'll let you guys know how it goes, I'm not expecting to be playing I'm the One by the end of the month or anything, I just want to get started.

The Fender app is great for beginners and intermediate guitar players. I took a look at it a couple of weeks back, and thought it was decent.

Good luck on your guitar journey!

I've been playing since 1976, and in my opinion anything that gets people playing guitar is worth trying. I get the Fender e-mails for that app since I'm on Fender's mailing list. The real shame would be thinking about it 30 more years and never doing it. Now is a better time than ever due to all of the support available on the web. I had none of that, but was playing in a band two years after pickup up the guitar. I would play 33 1/3 rpm albums at 16 speed on my parent's old Zenith console stereo in order to pick apart the guitar parts at half speed. And now they try to get you playing popular songs fairly quickly. In my first year of lessons back in the 1970's I was playing things like "Love Theme from the Godfather". lol
