There are some really good tunes on DLR Band.

    Lose the Dress
    Little Texas
    Going Places
    Wawazat
    Weekend with the Babysitter
    Black Sand

Those songs should have been on the VH reunion album in 1998, not a DLR solo disc.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

Black Sand and Little Texas my favorites from that disc.

I never listened to DLR Band, until today. I think it might be my fav Roth solo album.

Now I really want to hear that unreleased album he did w/John 5.

It's a damn good disc. His charisma really shines through on it. And Lowery is a machine.

Yeah....John 5 is good. Even....Wa Wa Zat has some cool riffing and a good solo.

Mike Hartman also did guitar on 2 tracks. King of the Hill and Indeedido. Even gets some guitar solos in to....

    +++

Whole project could have used a top end producer and a bigger budget. What could have been..... Almost a demo.

In all seriousness, the bulk of VH, Dave and Sammys catalogue have all got a summer flavour.
The only exceptions are Fair Warning, Balance, VHIII, Standing Hampton, Marching to mars.
If there’s any I forgot, remind me.
What is understood need not be discussed

Dave recorded a lot. There is both an electric and an acoustic disc. Neither is ready to be released but both are done in regards to principle recording. I actually love his acoustic stuff. He is forced away from the Diamond persona and frankly his best work or any artist is usually their most authentic.

Dlr band start to finish was 10 days. A lot of other life stuff happening so no tour to support. It was the first indy model release and actually was more profitable than the previous 2 albums. It cracks me up when it gets dismissed as not selling, it did well economically.

For me, it's that I really like what DLR and Lowery did together on DLR Band, combined with what the fuck else are we going to talk about?

Is it because he is in VH that he won't release it?

And you know this how? You're a Washington insider. You're a pot insider. You're a music biz insider. You're a VH/Dave insider. You're probably inside Kate Upton right now. You are inside everywhere at once and yet here you're on this little VH site. How very odd.

    Weed yes
Music biz, not really was decades ago hence a lot of peeps but only actual music biz I do today is developing better protocols on digital media. The goal is to get artists more leverage and better piece of the pie as they get fucked on streaming.
Do own an entertainment division but mainly movies and people way smarter than I run it. I was just the idiot that brought everyone into the same room. My son however is a movie maker.

But yes I am an odd duck and on my phone a lot, very fair. Further questions may want to message me.
