Default FBI Agent Kevin Clinesmith / Attorney Sally Moyer, Clinton and Russia investigations

    Jun 20 at 10:28 AM

House GOPer unmasks identities of more anti-Trump FBI agents

A House Republican Tuesday unmasked two of the five FBI investigators cited in the recently released inspector general’s report for expressing anti-Trump and pro-Clinton sentiment in work-related instant messages.

The previously unnamed FBI officials — “FBI Attorney 2” and “Agent 5” — are Kevin Clinesmith and Sally Moyer, respectively, according to House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), who revealed their identities over the objection of the FBI during a hearing on the IG’s findings.

The two were assigned to the bureau’s Hillary Clinton email investigation, according to the IG’s report, while Clinesmith also later worked as a top lawyer on the Trump-Russia investigation and the special-counsel probe.

Clinesmith sent a number of pro-Clinton, anti-Trump political messages over the FBI’s computer system, which the report said “raised concerns about potential bias” that may have impacted the investigation. Likewise, the report cited Moyer rooting for Clinton and bashing Trump during the 2016 campaign.

Meadows said the pair was among five FBI officials Justice Department IG Michael Horowitz referred for investigation after additional anti-Trump messages surfaced.

All five worked on the Clinton case, accounting for one-third of the 15 who were assigned to the investigation. One was Peter Strzok, who was kicked off the special-counsel team last year and escorted from the FBI headquarters building Friday as part of internal discipline proceedings. He and his mistress, Lisa Page, who left the bureau last month, also supervised the Trump-Russia investigation.

The IG report said Page texted Strzok in August 2016, after Trump won the GOP presidential nomination, fretting, “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”

“No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok replied.

FBI CAUGHT LYING AGAIN ATTEMPTING TO WITHHOLD INFORMATION:
Horowitz testified that the FBI was withholding the names of the other rogue agents from Congress and the public because “they work on counterintelligence” and can’t be exposed.

But Meadows argued that both Clinesmith and Moyer work for the FBI’s office of legal counsel, and are no longer in “counterintelligence,” as the FBI claimed.

“They don’t work in counterintelligence,” Meadows said in an exchange with Horowitz. “If that’s the reason the FBI is giving, they’re giving you false information, because they work for the general counsel.”

Horowitz confirmed the two worked in that office, which was headed by Trisha Anderson, who also recently resigned. Anderson also worked closely with Strzok and was married to a top Obama White House official. FEC records show she gave political contributions to Obama.

Moyer, in an Oct. 28, 2016, instant message, said she was “sick” of Trump and later called his supporters “retarded.” On Election Day, she said Clinton had “better win … otherwise i’m gonna be walking around with both my guns … and like quitting on the spot,” adding, “screw you trump.”

After Trump upset Clinton at the polls, the same investigator complained in another message, “f–k trump,” and told a colleague she would consider any presidential award for public service from Trump an “insult.” “I’d refuse it,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Clinesmith lamented Clinton’s loss the day after the election, messaging to several FBI employees, “I am numb.” He added, “I am so stressed about what I could have done differently.”

Clinesmith also expressed regret over the reopening of the Clinton email case on Oct. 28, 2016, arguing that it “broke the momentum” of Clinton’s campaign. He warned at the time that the belated move, which was pressured by leaks over the discovery of additional classified emails on the laptop of Clinton’s aide in New York, could initiate “the destruction of the republic.”

After Clinesmith messaged another FBI employee that he was “just devastated” over Trump’s unexpected victory, he launched into a rant: “I just can’t imagine the systematic disassembly of the progress we made over the last 8 years. ACA is gone. Who knows if the rhetoric about deporting people, walls, and crap is true. I honestly feel like there is going to be a lot more gun issues, too, the crazies won finally. This is the tea party on steroids. And the GOP is going to be lost, they have to deal with an incumbent in 4 years. We have to fight this again. Also Pence is stupid.”

Weeks later, the Russiagate investigator added, “Viva le resistance,” signaling he planned to fight back against Trump.

The report revealed that in late February of this year, special counsel Robert Mueller removed Clinesmith from his investigation after Horowitz provided Mueller some of the incendiary instant messages Clinesmith wrote about Trump.

The other politically conflicted FBI investigator — “Agent 1” — remains anonymous. That agent, too, worked on the Clinton investigation and, in fact, participated in the interview of Clinton on July 2, 2016 — just days before the FBI cleared her of wrongdoing in the email scandal. The next day, July 6, the agent boasted in a text message that she would be the “future president,” according to the IG report.

Speaking through his lawyer, Strzok said he was the victim of “unfounded personal attacks.” Clinesmith and Moyer could not be reached for comment.

Default "We'll stop it" (the election of President Trump)

Lisa Page text: "POTUS (Obama) knows everything we're doing"

    ----

Strong evidence that "Senior FBI officials attempted to steer a presidential election"

"Very senior government officials at DOJ and FBI expressing themselves in no uncertain terms about what they wanted to accomplish; essentially throwing an investigation on a national security crime because they didn't want to have that candidate in jeopardy because the notion of the other candidate being elected was unacceptable to them. This is very grave stuff,, and it can't be overstated"

" [Documented evidence] that these activities of the FBI and DOJ were being either coordinated, directed,, that there was some synchronization with the Obama White House."

I want to give the benefit of the doubt, but man, this looks really bad. Trump went from looking like an Alex Jones conspiracy monger to the only one being honest about the state of the FBI.

You have people that were not just involved, but key pieces in the investigation of both Clinton and Trump with a clear bias. When looking from the outside, it appears Clinton did something very wrong and got away with it while Trump did nothing wrong and is still being investigated in the hopes they can get him on something...anything. Taken separately they would be bad signs, but put together it looks like full-on corruption and attempts to alter our democratic process.

It's looking more and more like the real collusion was happening not outside our borders, but inside Washington DC.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

SOCIALIST ACTIVIST WHO HARASSED HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY WORKS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

    7:56 PM 06/20/2018

    Joe Simonson | Media Reporter

One of the activists who chased Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen out of a Mexican restaurant Tuesday night over the Trump administration’s immigration policies is an employee of the Department of Justice, The Daily Caller News Foundation has confirmed.

Members of the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America crashed Nielsen’s meal with a demonstration full of chants and other outbursts.

One of those participants, Allison Hrabar, actually works for the Trump administration — as a paralegal in the DOJ.

“Kirstjen Nielsen, you’re a villain, locking up immigrant children,” activists can be heard saying in a video.

An employee within the Trump administration initially tipped TheDCNF off about Hrabar’s presence at the protest.

The Washington Examiner spoke with Hrabar Wednesday and she defended her behavior as off government time and a use of her First Amendment rights. (RELATED: ‘Fascist Pig!’ — Chanting Socialists Chase DHS Secretary Nielsen Out Of Mexican Restaurant)

"If you see these people in public, you should remind them that they shouldn’t have peace,” she told The Examiner. “We aren’t the only ones who can do this. Anyone who sees Kirstjen Nielsen at dinner, anyone who sees anyone who works at DHS and ICE at dinner can confront them like this, and that’s what we hope this will inspire people to do.”

Despite Hrabar’s claims of keeping her personal politics outside of her time as an employee of the federal government, a look at her Twitter account, @allisongeroi, features tweets during the workday openly celebrating her behavior Tuesday night.

“Keeping families together in jail is not an acceptable solution,” Hrabar tweeted Wednesday afternoon at 1:56 PM.

Following the protest, Hrabar tweeted that, “No one who has ever made their living terrorizing immigrants deserves peace. If you see one in a restaurant, at a movie, or in your neighborhood, remind them of that.”

Hrabar has worked at the DOJ since July 2016. Prior to that, she was a student at the selective Swarthmore College where tuition runs over $50,000 annually. She previously attended a charter school in Arizona.

A Justice Department official, after being asked about Hrabar’s conduct, told TheDCNF that she cannot comment on personnel issues.

Default "FBI and DOJ are too politicized, they must be stopped"

The only way the FBI can restore its reputation for professionalism and objectivity is to discipline and terminate everyone that was involved in this abuse. And those who broke federal law must be criminally prosecuted.

The report from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz is disturbing.
Americans expect the chief law enforcement agencies of the federal government — the DOJ and the FBI — to administer justice in an ethical, professional, objective, nonpartisan and above-board manner.

Horowitz investigated the government’s investigation of Hillary Clinton's email scandal. He found that FBI agents who “demonstrated extremely poor judgment and a gross lack of professionalism.” Their internal communications mixed their political opinions with their investigative duties, including “statements of hostility toward then-candidate Donald Trump and statements of support for then-candidate Clinton,” the focus of the investigation.

Text messages between two of the agents implied “a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate’s election prospects. This is antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice.” According to the IG, “the conduct by these employees cast a cloud over the FBI” and “sowed doubt (over) the FBI’s work on, and its handling of, the (Clinton) investigation.”

    Media perks for Washington agents
It gets worse. The IG also found that agents “widely ignored” the FBI’s policy against disclosure of nonpublic information. Additionally, the agents making these disclosures “received benefits from reporters, including tickets to sporting events, golfing outings, drinks and meals, and admittance to nonpublic social events.”

The disclosure of confidential law enforcement information in a criminal investigation can irreparably damage the reputations and livelihoods of innocent individuals. It can also unduly prejudice the due process rights of those targeted in a federal investigation and prosecution.

As the IG concluded, the damage done “goes to the heart of the FBI’s reputation for neutral fact-finding and political independence.” The only way the FBI can restore its reputation for professionalism and objectivity is to discipline and terminate everyone that was involved in this abuse. And those who broke federal law must be criminally prosecuted.

Without such actions, the politicized “professionals” in the FBI and the Justice Department will be emboldened to bend and break even more rules to further their personal agendas and careers. Justice demands that they play — and work — by the rules.

Hans von Spakovsky is a former Justice Department counsel and a senior legal fellow in The Heritage Foundation’s Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies.

    Scary stuff.

One side of the aisle is in control of everything.

The Left has most of the media (including sports reporting), Hollywood, colleges, schools, Google, Facebook, and the FBI and IRS too? (lest we forget the IRS going after right wing groups) Even comic books are in control of the Left now.

The Right has AM radio and Fox News...

Whatever narrative the Left wants is what the media says. Wording in the media changes on a dime the instant the Left decides on how something "should be" described or phrased.

It would be just as scary if the Right controlled everything by the way. The Left could see just how scary this is if the roles were reversed for a week. Republicans would be able to do anything they wanted and the media would just ignore it while just going after Democrats for any slight perceived or real. Just imagine how issues like gay marriage, race, taxes/spending, and immigration would be handled by a right wing dominated media. ....All while they claimed to be "objective".

Just watch this whole issue quietly disappear in the media if they even mention it at all.

Frightening. More than the Left being in this position of power....it's that the Left actually seems to have put out a dedicated effort to get into these positions of power while the Right can't be bothered to counter it. This didn't happen overnight. So that means the Left has been consciously pursuing this situation for years. That indicates a definite goal.

I think the success of talk radio and Fox News shows there is a market for it, though. Fox regularly creams its competition despite the revolving door of talking heads manning the shows.

In some ways, the great equalizer has been the internet, but not always in a positive way. People tend to consume news they want to hear and we've known this for years. Now with the rise of a number digital news sources, youtube videos, etc., you can get "your" news for free via a few clicks with an internet connection.

Human behavior being what it is, you don't even need to consciously make the decision to seek out those sources. You'll find them over time by happenstance and will continue to go back to those sources again and again. In the end, we become more divided as a country. There's no "adult in the room" anymore with an air of objectivity to corral the narrative back to the middle for everyone's sanity. It's all "I'm right and you're wrong" 24 hours a day.

I find myself falling victim to this is as well even though I go out of my way to read the opinions of the other side. It's far more enjoyable reading articles I agree with 100% then it is arguing with the computer screen as I read paragraph after paragraph of objectable points. You can't help but fall in to the confirmation bias.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

That one seems easy to figure out. A person with a left wing view has multiple sources for their taste. A person with a right wing view has Fox News and Am radio. So the multitude of left wing outlets has to divide the entire left wing pie while the very few right wing outlets get the entire right wing pie to themselves.

People in the middle just ignore them all and hit the internet.

That's true. But it's still better than the biased choices that other people make for you in the media. It's way harder to avoid opposing views on the internet. Just check out political threads here for one example. The networks and Hollywood can filter out opposing views completely. Just look at how the colleges are eliminating right wing opinions from campuses. It's a "safe space" for the Left.

Check out something I just read on a sports board I read....

"Kevin McHale got caught at a Trump rally. And if you think it might be a mistake in identity, his wife's twitter is all about them right wing conspiracies, talking BS about the kids at the border. Does he not know what league this is?"

Even in sports you have to hide it if you are right wing. You can actually proudly display it if you are left wing. This is so one sided it's scary.

Yeah, I think what I'm lamenting is that it seemed even just 20 years ago that the mainstream media was closer to the center than it is now, which helped when political stories broke. You knew it was serious business when everyone was talking about a given topic. Nowadays it seems like they are bent on telling one side of the story and it's painfully obvious. Maybe it's always been that way I just never noticed until the last 20 years.

It's funny that the talking heads that were used for years as the voice for Republicans have been largely cast aside as they no longer speak for a majority of their party. Almost every single one of them was a never-Trumper: Ana Navarro, Steve Schmidt, George Will, Bill Kristol, etc. It makes you realize that for someone like Trump to get elected, that there was a huge amount of people whose view was never represented.
