    Default Into Silence...

Hey guys... Here's a simple lyric video we finished up today for the 1st single from our new album "Chameleon Presence"

I sorta did a shitty job "lip-synching" the solo at 2:20 with my ZillaBurst Wolfgang...But I'm sure most non-musicians wouldn't notice.

Please check it out when you have a chance and let me know what you think... It's an older song but we re-recorded everything to freshen it up. Sorta giving it another shot... I'm trying to at least get one of our songs into some low budget horror movie. If any of you guys know where I can send music that may get me somewhere, please let me know!

    Thanks!

    ~Eric

Its a solid song dude. Good vocals, lyrics are good. Production is good too. I liked it. Solo was excellent I wouldnt worry about your guitar syncing, it was barely noticeable. Its a video anyway not like you were faking a live performance or something.

Thanks Brett... I appreciate the feedback. Walt, our singer is a pretty damn good writer and has that Daughtry feel to his voice. He's got a 3 year old and a 3 month old so his plate is full... The bass player and myself are gonna just try to promote everything online the best we can and not worry about playing gigs for 15 people. Nobody around here cares about original music. All those tracks are recorded straight to a computer. I think I used some Boss pedal that mimics a Vox amp for the solo, and the Tech 21 Richie Kotzen pre-amp for all the rhythm tracks. Wolfgang Standard for both. We are recording a cover of "Waterfalls" by TLC to try and get a little more attention since that's what seems to be happening on youtube. Do a slick cover, hope people listen to your originals...

He has a good voice. Nice tone.

Dude been there with you. Nobody gives a shit about original music and like you were old and done playing in front of 15 people with our originals. After 20 years it just isnt fun to play in front of no one. So now we just do stuff where we can play covers, make some money, in front of a real crowd and well throw a few originals in for fun. Nobody even realizes theyre originals.

Weve done our two cds with our guitars going straight into the computer. You can get good tones if youre patient.

Yep... Cover bands rule the Jersey Shore...I always imagined LA scene was different. Streets paved with gold, all girls are 10's, money falls from the sky...My friends that do my cabling work out there from Ontario, CA laugh when I say that shit. I do feel sorta bad for our singer. He came from PA somewhere and was a big deal out there. His band was on local TV shows and he played to packed clubs every weekend. He moved here for his Wife's family and was really let down that nobody appreciates his music here. I think he's over it now with the 2 kids and all and he's happy just to write and record with us and let us do the promotion while he is on Daddy patrol. When we do play the occasional live show, he blows the other singers off the stage but it just doesn't mean anything. He's about 10 years younger than me, and 18 younger than the bass player. We always say, man if we could just build a time machine and go back to like 1995 with this band and these songs, and all be in our 20's, we would be rock stars.... Lol. So my goal is just to get a song in a low budget horror movie because I'm into that shit. double lol.

I could see why he would be bummed out. But at least you get a great singer out of it.

A time machine would be nice! Actually though Id like to be the player I am now in my 25 year old self.

We always wanted to figure out a way to get one of our songs in a porn.

    Good luck dude!!

    That was really good, man!
Yeah, I was gonna say, the singer reminded me of 10, 15 years ago... Chevelle, Daughtry...something like that. He's good.

Cool solo. Love the guitar changing colors.

I know you have to do the most popular, but too bad you couldn't do "Creep". I always thought that one was pretty cool.
Surprised a rock band hasn't covered yet, actually. They probably have.

Great song, excellent tones, and the vocals and guitar playing sound top notch.
Good luck on the horror movie thing! Coming from a horror buff, I think that would be awesome for you guys.

And I love the white knobs you put on your new Wolfgang. I did the same thing a couple of years ago to my Japanese tobacco burst Wolf Special. There's photos somewhere in the Gear Pics thread. A small custom 'mod', yet really changes the whole look of the guitar, albeit in a subtle way.
