Mine were all thrash albums with AJFA being number 1.

VH music took a backseat in those days.

I graduated high school in 1989. It's hard to narrow the list to 5 albums, but here goes:

    5150
    OU812
    AFD
    Slippery When Wet
    Power Windows

"Hysteria," "New Jersey," "G n' R Lies" and "Hold Your Fire" were prominent as well. I also was really into Mellencamp's "Scarecrow" and "The Lonesome Jubilee," as well as Sting's "Nothing Like The Sun."

    Van Halen - FUCK
    INXS - X
Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker
    Metallica - Black Album
    Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Based on the albums I probably listened to the most, when I was in high school, with only one album per band.

    The Who- Quadrophenia
    Cheap Trick- Bodukan
    Rush- Moving Pictures
    Led Zeppelin- IV
    Police- Ghost In The Machine

I still love all these albums. Don't listen to any of them as much as I used to.

Same here sort of. But....I still listened to the VH 6 pack all the time.

    I was leaning more towards:

    Metallica ...and Justice
Megadeth So Far So Good So What
    Megadeth RIP
Ozzy NFRTW and No More Tears
    Pantera Cowboys From Hell

Yup, that Motley one and the Metallica one were pretty huge in my crowd as well.
Along with Skid Row's first couple of cds.

Not sure I could name my top five bands, let alone five albums

Everything by KISS up to and including Unmasked
Everything by Cheap Trick up to and including All Shook Up
Everything by Van Halen up to and including Diver Down
Everything by The Cars up to and including Shake It Up
    Everything by The Beatles
A lot of Led Zeppelin, Back In Black, Love Stinks, Get Lucky, The Game, the big three from Seger, etc.

    Music kept me moving forward...

Man I canít possibly remember what albums I liked best 30 years ago. Shit I can barely remember what I had for dinner yesterday.

I do know what bands meant the most me (at the time) when I graduated high school in 1989, so Iíll list them. Obviously that list has changed since then.

My Senior High School days: The Fall of 1969 - The Spring of 1973.

My Top 5 Albums that I listened to while in High School*:

    • ALICE COOPER ~ KILLER
    • DEEP PURPLE ~ MACHINE HEAD
    • LED ZEPPELIN ~ LED ZEPPELIN
    • LED ZEPPELIN ~ LED ZEPPELIN II
    • GRAND FUNK RAILROAD ~ MARK, DON & MEL: 1969-1971

    * I saw each of these bands perform while I was in High School.

I wouldn't trade those experiences with anyone else's, except, that if I had lived on the East Coast or the West Coast during those years, I would have the means and opportunity to have seen many more bands of the that Very Golden Era of Rock, what I would call an embarrassment of riches, of touring and recording bands.

But, instead, I lived in a suburb of Dallas, when there was no public transportation available in my city, to get me to the concert venues before I had a driver's license.

    Hmm...."Released when I was in 9th-12th that I listened to a lot".

    Van Halen - Diver Down
    Van Halen - 1984
Missing Persons - Spring Session M
    U2 - Under a Blood Red Sky
Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind

Of course, there's a ton more.

A bit of a quirky list for me...

    Van Halen - 5150
    Van Halen - OU812
    Platinum Blonde - Alien Shores
    ZZ Top - Eliminator
    The Outfield - Play Deep
Signature not currently available. You aren't missing much.
