So, let me get this straight. Mike is back in Van Halen, but Ed, Al, Wolf, and Dave have been replaced by Vic, Jason, and Sammy, and they are calling the band The Circle. I did think it was nice of the guys to hire Ed as Vic's tech, Al as Jason's tech, Wolf as Mike's tech, and Dave as Sammy's fluffer.

True, but be fair though. It's very time-consuming to get facts these days. They're busy people and probably don't have the time to get to the library in preparation for every interview.

Might be the worst article I've ever read. Jesus, the whole thing is wrong, I double checked to make sure I wasn't on The Onion.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

He probably fact checked the dates in the article with Sam. Jokes aside, that guy is the worst with dates. "Poundcake...1993! 1993!"

Sadly there is nothing for these guys to talk about.

Last year Sammy and Mike were pushing for a reunion/BOBW tour.

The brothers didn’t make a move putting us right back where we were.

The time is up. VH are finished.

My only regret as a fan appears to be the same as Sammy and Mike’s. That the 2004 tour was a horrible way to end the Hagar era.

I’d love to hear Alex’s take on that as he was quoted in the press after the tour ended that Sammy was in the band and they were going to make an album.

Even though Sammy was on the radio before the tour was even over saying he’d rather go back to being solo as VH was no longer fun.

There's nothing to talk about VH anymore from the Sam/Mike side so not sure why interviewers keep going back to that well. I get it BUT it's kind of insulting in a way to have to keep mentioning the same two stories over and over. 2004 and 2002 15 plus years later. It's almost as if Mike enjoys talking about it.

You sum up my feelings perfectly. I came to grips with it being over about 2 years ago. If Sam turning 70 didn't make Eddie think about a last get together, nothing will.

Wolf dropping an album/going on tour is likely the only thing that will get Ed to do anything on stage with Sam and/or Dave ever again.

We just have to hope they are all still upright if he ever does it.

I would love to believe that, but I don't. I just have the feeling if Wolf goes and does his own thing, Ed is done. Seems like the only reason Van Halen still exists is because Ed was motivated by working with his son. If that goes away, can't help but think Ed will just continue to putter around working on equipment and playing when he feels like it with Al, with no pretense there is such an entity called "Van Halen". Why do the band thing, and all the headaches of dealing with either singer, when you can get your music fix tinkering with/developing equipment and playing in your home studio with your brother and son, with no pressure, no judgement, no hassles?

I don't think Ed needs the roar of the crowd to function, like so many of those guys do.

But who knows, I sure hope for different.

$$$ would be the reason and I don’t think Ed needs more of that. He makes a killing on guitars and amps.

That leaves the fans being the only reason and I get the idea that VH doesn’t like their fans.
