    Default NAD! H&K Tubemeister 18

After a year or so of looking, I finally pulled the trigger today on my first tube amp, the H&K Tubemeister 18. Paired it with an Orange PPC 1x12. It should be delivered here on Saturday. Canít wait to break it in!

Should be great. I love the mid-size amps with variable power switching.

Congrats! I have had a H&K TM18 for a couple years now running through a blackstar 2x12 and absolutely love it. I mostly stay on the clean channel with gain at about 2-3:00 for some kick and it takes pedals pretty well. Enjoy the new toy.

The amp and cab came in over the weekend. Wasnít able to play long, but in the time I did get to test it out, they sounded great! Should only get better as the speaker gets broken in.

Quick update. The amp is going back. Looks like there is a tube issue. When I first plugged it in, I heard some crackling and popping sounds, but I attributed it to the old guitar cable I was using at the time. Once i got it back to my place and set t up with all my newer gear, the issue persisted, and then when I checked the built in TSC system, it showed some major tube problems.

Just got the new amp in yesterday. Sweetwater was great to work with through this issue. The amp I originally bought was a demo model, so I got some money off the normal price. I ended up exchanging the demo amp for a brand new one, and they didn’t charge me the difference.

The new amp works great, and sounds amazing. With the 1 watt mode I can dial up some nice EVH like sounds at a volume that doesn’t piss off my neighbors (I live in an apartment complex). Looking forward to experimenting more with the Tubemeister.

It was my first time buying from sweetwater, but their customer service was great. When I called to address the broken demo amp, I told them I wanted to exchange it for a new one and not another demo model. I even offered to pay the difference so that I could get one brand new.

They said not to worry about it and I could have the new one at the same price I bought the demo for. I was extremelt surprised, and they got the new one to me 3 days later. I can see why so many people do business with them.
