Default :::Can Y'all Recommend A Band For Me (Southern Rock/Slide Guitars)?

Listening to music sets me in an almost different dimension. I never get sick of Van Halen, but since they aren't coming out with any new material, I need something else to listen to .

I love Southern Rock/Slide Guitar playing. I am familiar with the Southern Rock mainstays like Skynyrd, ZZ Top, .38 Special, etc.

Is there anything that I have missed in this genre? Can anyone recommend an artist or band that play slide guitar / bottleneck slide guitar?

    Thanks in advance

If you likes southern rock, I'm going to recommend the Drive-By Truckers. Not a lot of slide guitar, but you might still like 'em.

Southern Rock Opera and Decoration Day are probably their two best albums. Three guitar players, who also write and all sang lead.

Believe it or not, I am not too familiar with the Allman Bros work (meaning their deep cuts). Going to give them a listen...

Derek Trucks is a bit more jam band-esque, but probably the best slide guitarist on the scene.

For Southern Rock, i love Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Blackberry Smoke,
    even some Marshall Tucker stuff.

I told my GF that if she ever leaves me, i'm gonna blast "Can't you see"
    and cry.

Her response: What's "Can't you see?"

Upon reading this, I don't know if I oughta laugh or cry. The music scene has drastically changed.

Blackberry Smoke I gotta check out; the rest I know. Here's one of my favorites from Hatchet:

I posted this in Alllmans thread and yes it's 19 minutes long but some fantastic guitar playing with a similar vibe to One Way Out. The ending by Duane is arguably one of the best endings I've ever heard in Rock.
