I have a man crush on Rick Beato, love his channel.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Love how he recognizes the greatness of Eddie's rhythm playing and how well Dave sang.

How does he have real multi tracks?... those don’t sound like the dryer guitar hero tracks

He has said in other videos that as a producer he has access to what he calls "editor tracks", maybe that is the master multi-track.

Not sure what that means, maybe someone on here knows, but yeah, he obviously has access to some good shit.

I don't know, wondered the same thing during the Closer to the Heart and Hitch a Ride ones. It's awesome to hear the individual components of all these songs though. There are still a few more of the previous episodes I want to watch, hope he keeps it going.

I might pick a different song off the debut album to drive the point home, yet at least the band got a mention and discussion.

I thought the same thing. Maybe Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love or Feel Your Love Tonight. I'm The One might have been a bit much for a mere mortal to dissect.

He says in another video that producers often share the stems from original recordings with each other. He has hundreds of them.

I love his enthusiasm for the tune and the isolated excerpts he played, yet frowned at his remark about the opening strike rake/weird pitches noise that Eddie did. He explains it as Ed raking the strings up by the headstock and behind the nut... I was always under the impression that it was between the string wrap around piece and the bridge on a Les Paul/Destroyer type of guitar.

Sorry for not recalling the proper names at the moment, as I'm not really a Gibson player. Haha.

Na, it was the perfect one to do.
Like he said, those horns, that big riff, those are the first sounds of VH everyone heard in 1978.
That song sucked you in and made you want to hear the rest of the record.

That's later on, when he used other guitars to record with. The first record was the Strat.
