    What would that sound like?

Though, by 1978, The Stones were my fave NYC band.
Socialist countries are the best for supplying art. Or taking an unnoticed art (from the US) and re-cycling it, ie the British Invasion in the 60's.

Capitalist countries are the best for making the suppliers of that "art" wealthy.

Where would The Beatles and The Stones be without American sales support??

But hey, thanks UK and Canada for your music, your comedy/comedians, and your acting, production, and stories (many very popular TV shows in the US had their story line origins in the UK.)

Ed having an audience that only wants the oldies is the price you pay for taking a 15 year vacation from making music.

If he'd have continued his band after Cherone, he'd get a great reaction on his 2019 tour to whatever hits he wrote on the 2001, 2004, 2007, 2012, 2016 records etc.

I'm sure Ed was done with his career psychologically after he couldn't make lightning strike a third time in '98

Meanwhile, Dave had already given up being a major artist at the end of '94
