    Default VH- Did You Know???

    VH Trivia Funfact Thread

Got any trivial factoids you think are unknown to most VH fans post them here. Useless trivia stuff just for the hell of it why not.

Here's one I didn't know about until recently....

    Did you know.....

The opening song on the 1984 Tour was ON FIRE.

They changed it to Unchained shortly after....

I believe Women In Love was the only track from VHII not played on the 1979 tour. But the band whipped it out as a regular in the set for the 1980 tour.

Hmmm, pretty sure it was played most nights as the song played after Ed's solo.

The words, "Beam me up, Scotty" were actually never uttered during the original series.

Other 'misquotes' with the character's name mistakenly used:

Gable didn't say "Scarlett" but just "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

"Play it Again, Sam" was not said by Bogart, he just said "Play it" to someone named Sam.

Darth Vadar doesn't say Luke's name, it's just "No! I am your father!"

and back on point, the written lyrics for Unchained (titled at the time "Hit the Ground Running") does not include the name "Dave" for Ted Templeman's part -- it just says "aww gimmee a break"

That Eddie and Alex do not give a shit about the people that made them rich?
'Old Van Halen, when I was in it-classic Van Halen-makes you wanna drink, dance and screw, right? And the new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.' - David Lee Roth.

Did you know VH had a special code phrase they used with their managers in the early 80s when they needed a cocaine delivery.

    Anyone know the phrase?

That some Van Halen fans who are "supposingly adults", act like children.
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)

"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)

"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen

"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen

"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney
