Always bugged me that his name was Captain Marvel and not Shazam. Kinda confusing. Loved the live action Saturday morning show, though.

They’re on the path to destroying the franchise again. Two separate Jokers that have nothing to do with Reeves’ Batman movie.

Who is running the show over there?

My theory is they’ve carefully studied the synergy and everything that has made Marvel successful for Disney and have decided to do the exact opposite.

Then they've surpassed their goals by a long shot.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

Yeah like Marvel never had two different Quicksilvers,or three different Spider-Men in 6 movies with in 15 years of each other.
Ok two and a half Spider-Men.

They should do the exact opposite.
Oh how you forget Disney's fucked up version of Quicksilver.

Don't think DC fans would be happy with the Winter Soldiers,or even Black Panthers ending.
It might be a standing ovation to Marvel fans when Cap just lays down and shuts his eyes,or in BP when one side decides to just take a knee.
All great stuff for Disney fans, but shit that won't work for DC fans.

Are you serious? We’re talking two Jokers in two separate films that have nothing to do with Reeves’ Batman film. You don’t see a problem?

Christopher Nolan put his foot up Warner Bros ass when they cast Arnie Hammer as Batman for the Justice League movie WHILE HE WAS FILMING DARK KNIGHT RISES!!

This is a stupid move .

Spider-Man’s film rights were elsewhere. Homecoming is the first film that’s part of the Marvel-Disney phases.

What is your point though? That Disney’s Marvel series has been overwhelmingly bad and unsuccessful and DC/Warner Bros. has been? Box office, critics, and audiences seem to disagree with that premise.

I'm not big on these Joker movies, but if any one read the article in the link they would have plainly seen that the Phoenix project is an unrelated film being made on a much smaller budget, by a separate division of DC.

The project's budget is in the $55 million range, significantly lower than the tentpoles that dominate the form. And the stand-alone is meant to be darker and more experimental in tone and content (at least as experimental as a studio can be with established brands such as DC), which is described as being akin to a crime drama.

Dave v Sam like bullshit is all some of you fuckers ever contribute to these threads.

I think the solo joker movies are a poorly conceived idea based on the premise “we can do whatever we want with this character, people will go”
It’s the sane attitude they had with Man of a Steel, BVS, Suicide Squad, he’ll even Green Lantern
You can’t do a Joker origin movie, his origin has always been a mystery
You can’t do a heist movie, because Batman not coming after him.
Do you want to make s dark mental movie showing him defending to crazy, okay the. What’s the payoff, at the end he’s the joker, dud they forget about having arcs in movies, conflicts, resolutions? Warner Bros is ruining what should be an absolute blank check for the Studio, sad that like Star Wars, they have to rewrite origins, ruin beloved characters and just take a steaming dump on the great DC stories that are out there

So they are going with the Kennedy Star Wars model? "No plan!"

These 2 Jokers movies sure are smelling like the Solo movie..... x2. Hard to understand how they came to this conclusion. Do they even talk to each other at WB?

You're thinking about Sony and Fox here. Hopefully Fox won't be a player much longer for Marvel characters.

DC is literally the Gibson guitars of movie studios.

Dude. A stupid idea is a stupid idea. This isn't Dave v Same bullshit. It's Logical v Illogical. It's Proven v Unproven. It's Smart v Stupid. And thus far, it's Marvel v DC.

    Sam v Dave is a perspective/subjective debate.

If you honestly, think that what DC has done thus far with their shared universe has been ON-POINT, then all the power to you.

My opinion? All of what was said up there in that article = Stupid idea. Casting (without re-casting) two actors for the same role within 2 years?

This does not help the case for this not being a stupid idea, man, I'm sorry.
