Default Peavey Wolfgang Special D-Tuna issues

I just picked up a gloss white Peavey Wolfgang Special and Iím having some issues with the D-Tuna. I have the bridge parallel with the body and the D-Tuna actually rests against the body when itís in E. This canít be right. I canít even tighten the micro tuners on the low E. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Just an FYI, there is a D tuna stickied thread in the guitar forum. There's a bunch of tips and I'm sure the answer you desire is in there somehere.

If not, wait a sec. You'll get the answer.

And congrats on the ax. Post pics.

Could just be that you need to set up the D-Tuna. Basically, you are supposed to turn the fine tuning adjustment on your Floyd almost all the way out, so that it is just touching the string lockdown screw with the D-Tuna all the way out (the "D" position), tune it to D at the headstock, then lock down your nut. Make sure you are still in D, then push in your D-Tuna to the "E" position, and fine tune the tuning to E using the fine tuning adjustment on the D-Tuna. This should give you the clearance you need between the D-Tuna and the body.
