    Default VH3 Show Philly

Amazing show. Was cranking this one at work today. As much crap as VH3 gets the comments section is pretty much all positive on this and well it should be.

Is it just me or did they use an incredibly small amount of the stage for a VH show? This almost looks like the opening act set up on the front of the stage.

They had a pretty simple set up for that tour. Few amps for Ed and Mike, drum riser and a few of those carnival type risers.

I'm listening to it again right now. Say what you want about the album but they were pretty close to top of their game as a live act on this tour. All era's getting some love and the band playing there ass off!

It's like Jack the Pumpkin King fronting Van Halen! Good show though. I actually enjoyed the tour very much. Caught them in Boston early on in the tour and then Hartford late summer.
I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.

It was a fun tour. The crowd loved them at the Gorge. Caught one of the early summer shows. July 11th I think it was.

Me and all the empty seats around me enjoyed the VHIII show we saw as well.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

HA...I show them in Boston and Chicago on the first leg, right around the time of this vid, and they were both pretty full. When I saw them later in the summer near Boston it was probably half full. Also it was the show Gary lost his voice so when we came back the next night there were even less. Ok with me. I had 8th row in front of Mikey. Closest I had ever been for a VH show at the time. They played Jamie's Cryin and I'm the One that night!!

This was actually my first concert, first VH show EVER! Bought back a lot of memories - getting lost in downtown Camden after the show... AHH HAHAHA

There is a smokin' version of Romeo Delight in that show somewhere if I remember correctly.

There were quite a few people at the Gorge for our show. All the floor and box seats(where we were) were filled and probably half or 2/3 of the lawn was filled. To compare it to the Balance show at the Gorge, if there was 15,000 there in 95, then there was probably 10,000-12,000 in 98.

They hit my area later in the tour, and the momentum of the tour, and the band for that matter, was fizzling out.

I got to hear a VH lead singer say "come on down from the lawn and fill up the pavilion"...something you never thought you would hear said at a VH show.

I bet they had a lot of people at the show, but 10,000 people showing up to something that holds 25,000, it makes it look empty.

Edit: Attendance was 6,375. In a 25,000 seat outdoor arena, that looks empty.

I was there he did say that. It was depressing.

This version just never worked for me. Gary looked out of place and the band did not have the same awesome sound that they had between 1991-1995. It was out of love for all things Eddie that I went to this show. It was surreal, and not in a good way.
