KILLER. The best track on the album, and a top 5 Sam era tune. It's got a little bit of a ATBL vibe to it and a nod to Zep's Whole Lotta Love, probably Ed's best tone on the album, fun straightforward rock drumming from Al, probably Sam's best lyrics and delivery on the album, and a pretty massive melodic chorus with classic harmonies.

Maybe VH's most densely layered production outro...

My Bloody Valentine would love it

I'm not sure what was worse. The inclusion of In N Out and Spanked on RHRN, or the exclusion of the Dream Is Over.

Yes, it's on the video, but it is not on the album. They had MOAM, In N Out, Spanked, and an average(for VH) version of OWTR on the cd, but no Dream Is Over. SMFH.

The Dream Is Over, 316 and Top Of The World are definitely the highlights of side two of For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

All of RHRN is a SMFH.

Put on LWAN if you want to see/hear VH live, not that RHRN fiasco.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Their lips are moving
    They're walking, They're talking
    They're round the world

    But they're still sleeping!

    EDIT:
I forgot... that was all actually recorded at 5150 a few months later.

Actually, I'll put on Rochester '79, Oakland '81, Largo '83, or any of the South American shows first if I want the live VH experience professionally filmed.

But, yeah, LWAN also blows away much of RHRN. Although, Al's solo on RHRN is waaaay better than his solo on LWAN.
