It's not a song I seek out but when I put the album on I let it play on through. Unlike Dancing in the Street

Or 75% of songs on the Sam albums. Now I will gradually walk back out of this soon to be dumpster fire.

Honey, can we stay for three songs if VH tour for the 40th?
"There's too many people on this basketball that's floating around the sun, who are too afraid to allow themselves to FEEL" - Edward Van Halen
"Van Halen was never about the singer..." - a very wise fan.

I kinda like DIITS, especially on the radio.

It's definitely not a Winter song, though.

This song is certainly not the first I put on when I listen to this album.
I do think it sounds killer coming after SAITP.

Yeah, they definitely both go together.

Love how FOOT kinda fades in amidst the sludge of SUNDAY.

They segue nicely into each other and the fade out is cool, I just think it's a weak song on an overall strong album.

Eddie's epic fade out solo automatically eliminates this song from filler status.

This track has always fascinated me. Killer intensity instrument and vocal wise.

I actually a couple of months ago figured out the synth bass foundation line, and sequenced it into a Pro Tools virtual instrument track... just wanted to learn all the implied possible chord changes that it was rep[resenting.

It sounds so awesome just played by itself... it has all kinds of syncopated changes that Eddie obviously put a lot of work into.

Dave's pitch melody is also very cool and thought out when you play it by itself on top of the bass line... he must of designed it structurally because it's shape is very mathematical...

This thread should end up well.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

    Another thing about One Foot...
Alex changes where the "downbeat 1" is transparently in the drum fill just before the solo

    Very Cool

It's not a bad song, but it is probably the most contrived/cookie cutter track Eddie ever wrote. The chord progression and the lyrics are flat out vanilla.
