    How quickly we forget.

Sam didn'thave anything but glowing praise about Ed and Al during the recording of the songs and the tour. Not until he was out did he start railing against them.

He had a contract, and he stuck to it.

I am sure we will hear plenty from DLR once he is out from under contract to Van Halen.

Iím thinking that too. I would kill for a new CF album, itís been too long and they were so kick ass. If BCC can do it after 5 years, why canít CF. Iíd prefer CF way over The Circle, I got a feeling if that happened it would quite lame. A few covers as a poster said earlier, and a few originals. Satch would want big production and a bigger creative input. Sammy should go into another CF album like itís his last meal on earth. Give it 100 percent.

I don't understand why creative guys like Sam (and DLR, not letting him off the hook either) that can write, play, and sing, and have a built in small audience at least, don't just record some acoustic solo work and release it. Why wait around for Ed to call?

Sam's song Inner Child, loved it, bought it off iTunes.

DLR's last song, Ain't No Christmas for me, really liked it.

Because when the house lights go dark, Ed starts noodling, and an arena full of people start whooing...I gotta imagine there's nothing better than that. Solo careers, side projects, and one off appearances pale in comparison to that good VH shit.

It's why Sam has been whining and why Dave remains silent. Oh Yeah...they both know that that music is the best high of their careers too.

    I'm up for a 3rd Chickenfoot album.

Perhaps they could flesh out the set list for the following tour with a couple of deep VH cuts from the Hagar years, or some Montrose.
    Don't keep it exclusively Chickenfoot...

In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both Ė thatís intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.Ē - David Lee Roth

Agree. Make the bulk of it CF, but throw in a surprise each night maybe.

It's a shame, cause he'll play Ronnie Montrose songs.
I think Joe could pull of something like "Runaround" or "Summer Nights" really well and they'd slot into the set list nicely.
Perhaps play "Rock Candy" as well and sprinkle them through the set...

Joe would need a Steinberger to be able to play Summer Nights properly...

Joe could, but he more than likely won't.

He has avoided comparisons to Ed like the plague, I would assume a continuation of that policy.

I would love to hear Joe play Van Hagar songs but I agree that he probably won't. No doubt that he could play them very well.

It's not that he can't do it. It's that he knows too much comparison will be made by the fans, and he wants to keep CF as its own entity, not an offshoot of Van Hagar...which is hard enough to avoid since half of Van Halen 2.0 plays in CF. I imagine that Sam and Mike would be okay with tossing in a couple Sam Halen tracks in their sets, but Joe and Chad are less enthused about that.
